As You Strive
When the world is against you
Is against you, when you are faced with the blues,
Do not carry the burdens that you have alone;
In the Lord God place your hope.
No one can do it on their own;
All of the sorrows
That we have managed to overcome
We did so only with the help of God.
Hence, to Him draw near;
He will take away the doubts and fears
That have been plaguing your mind,
That you may keep your eyes on the prize.
That you may not be distracted
By sideshow temptations or jaded;
That you may remain firm in your faith
And submit to His will for the rest of your days.
As you strive all the more to do what is good
And uphold the Word of God, so true,
The day of Jesus Christ's return you anticipate,
When all of the old things will have passed away.
