"Someone actually sent a package?"

Ye Xingxiu looked at the package with envy in his eyes. "Why don't my parents send me anything?"

Cen Zhengnian's mind was only on the package. He walked faster than usual towards the dormitory.

Hearing Ye Xingxiu's words, he glanced at him and said, "This was sent by my wife and son."

His tone was indifferent, as if it was a very ordinary thing, but Ye Xingxiu could sense a hint of pride in his words.

"You have a wife? And a son?" Ye Xingxiu looked shocked. "Aren't you like me, dedicating your whole life to scientific research?"

In order to focus on research, Ye Xingxiu had rejected all arranged marriages, claiming that his work was his spouse. This had angered his mother to the point of almost severing their mother-son relationship.

Cen Zhengnian replied, "I used to be like that."

Ye Xingxiu was waiting for him to continue, but Cen Zhengnian remained silent and quickened his pace into the dormitory.

Ye Xingxiu scratched his head and looked at the closed dormitory door, wishing he could push it open and hear the rest of Cen Zhengnian's words.

Leaving the conversation halfway was so frustrating!

Inside the room, Cen Zhengnian had already opened the package and taken out the shirt and trousers.

He placed the clothes on the bed and opened the letters from Chu Xia and Cen Huai'an.

The first sentence of the letter read: Zhengnian, you should have seen the clothes by now."

When I saw this outfit at the tailor shop, I thought it would suit you well. I had the tailor make alterations according to your measurements, so it should fit you. Unfortunately, An'an and I won't be able to see you wearing this outfit.

Upon reading this, Cen Zhengnian's eyes filled with longing. He caressed the letter and imagined Chu Xia holding the clothes and asking the tailor to make modifications. A smile unconsciously appeared on his lips.

He continued reading.

An'an is going to participate in a Go competition?

Cen Zhengnian felt a faint regret in his heart. It was his son's first competition, but he, as a father, couldn't accompany him. He didn't know if his son would be nervous or regret that his father wasn't there with him.

Cen Zhengnian sighed and continued reading. He saw the grades written by Chu Xia, the little puppies they had at home, and the difficulties she encountered - not being able to find a suitable rental house.

The emotions in Cen Zhengnian's eyes changed as he read the contents of the letter. Sometimes he smiled, and sometimes he furrowed his brows.

He held the letter and started thinking about his connections in Liangzhou, whether there was anyone who could help Chu Xia find a house to rent. But a thought couldn't help but surface in his mind - if Chu Xia and An'an were in the capital city now, the Cen family had a house there.

The house was not like the apartment building where he lived with his family. It's a two-entry quadrangle courtyard. Originally, it was a three-entry courtyard, but due to various historical legacy issues, when the backy section came into his family's possession, it had already been given to someone else.

That house had a large courtyard, and even if the little dog ran around inside, it wouldn't disturb the neighbors. Chu Xia's problem of finding a house would be solved.
