"You really liked the park" Aliyah told her sister as she dried the dishes with a cloth, Jenna forced a smile at her "Yeah, it's been so peaceful to go out and not being recognized, i found this spot that's hidden so it's like even better" Aliyah smiled at her, She frowned "You should go right now then , take this time for yourself"

And so Jenna did, she grabbed her coat, headphones, phone and keys as she walked to the park taking her usual route, she was sad, she was very sad,

She quickly found herself at her new shared spot, she checked the time

The girl wouldn't be here, she was to early, she took her phone out as she logged into her social media accounts, she directly went to tiktok, she was trending for some reason

She didn't even have to scroll through, the first video that popped up was about her

She scrolled again

She was on her phone for so long, just scrolling and seeing what people were saying about her

She never noticed the presence 

"Hi Hailee, i won't be able to make it on time, something came up that needs my attention, i'll be there later, yeah okay thanks, bye" She hung up

Jenna sniffled as she couldn't stop scrolling and seeing, until her phone was snatched, she didn't even care if someone robbed it, until she felt a pair of arms pull her into a hug as she cried even more, she already knew it was but her already being sad and seeing all that didn't help with her emotions

"It's okay..." The girl said as she rubbed her back softly

Who was there for you when you cried like this..?

Jenna felt so embarrassed but thankful the girl was right there with her, never did she think she would be crying in front of a stranger let alone hugging, but she felt safe...and calm, like all the sadness was being sucked out of her

"I'm sorry..i just.." She said, the girl pulled a tissue handing it to her

"Do you want to talk about it?" Jenna didn't know how to respond to that, no one has really ever asked her if she wanted to talk about it, usually her family but she couldn't tell them what she really felt

"I...i just don't get it..

People, they make me feel sometimes so inferior that i'm never enough and it's just people behind a dumb phone a stupid ass screen! And the comments they make, like i've said before it's not my fucking fault i don't know Spanish and that doesn't make me less! It shouldn't define who i am" She said now feeling angry, the girl nodded staring at her with wide eyes not expecting her to..actually tell her what was wrong

"I guess your pretty well known...but remember at the end of the day like you said, it doesn't define you, you know who you are always and if you forget i'm sure you'll be able to remember some how and please don't hide, just know that if you hide it doesn't go away, you have to be the stronger and better person, keep your head up high

Jenna nodded slowly in taking in her words, she could see the sureness in her eyes, as if she already knew who she was, how did she do that? She felt so exposed with this person, first telling her she's lonely, which she wasn't wrong because sometimes very often she does feel like that...now the security that she's telling her that she'll always come back to her true self and not to hide...like she always did...not posting not being active as she used too, why was she so wise?

"What's your name?" Jenna asked, tilting her head a bit staring at the girl, The girl made an offended face with a small smile
 "Oh? You didn't even bother to remember my name? Pshh and i'm the rude one" A giggle left her, Jenna didn't notice but her heart skipped a beat at the sound, she rolled her eyes smiling "Yeah yeah i'm very rude now tell me "

"Geez so demanding but it's Y/n"

Jenna smiled nodding "I'm a Jenna"

"I know you told me, I didn't forget "Oh the sass

Jenna's eyes widened as she saw it was really dark "Wait don't you work?" Y/n raised an eyebrow at her "Oh so you do pay attention" Jenna looked down nodding slowly "I'm still going to work but i called and said i was going to be late" She said simply with a small smile

She did that...for me? No maybe she just wanted to be late

"Why?"

"You were crying and it broke my heart" Her heart beat went like crazy

Fuck she did do that for me... no because of me

"I... you didn't have to"

"But I wanted to, are you going home? I'll wait for you to get an Uber or something, it's pretty dark" This person was something else...why was she being so nice? Does she really not know who she was? That made her...a bit happy to think of

"I..no it's fine i'm not staying very far"

Y/n nodded "You sure? I don't mind waiting with you"

"I swear it's fine, wait what's your job?" She asked seeing the girl grab her backpack with a small blush, seeing that made Jenna proud

"Oh I work in a sushi restaurant " Jenna nodded smiling "Oh i thought you were a waitress" Y/n shook her head quickly "Oh god no, i'd rather be in the kitchen but i have to go now Jenna, hope you feel better! See you tomorrow" She said smiling and waving goodbye at her, Jenna smiled and waved goodbye as well

"Bye Y/n thanks!"

"What do you guys think makes a person wise?" Jenna asked her family, they were all at their parents house, having a nice family dinner, Everyone was so happy that they were finally complete, Everyone stared at her a bit confused on why she would ask this out of the blue

"Why?" Markus asked "Yeah context please " Mia said

"I met this person and she's really wise but looks so young you know? I don't know if she's my age but...she's seems really wise"

"I guess..would you say she's more wise than you ? or us?" Mariah asked putting her fork down

Jenna thought about it, nodding

She thinks she really was, the way she didn't know her and read her right away

"Oh honey i think this person you met had to grow up really fast" Natalie said giving her sad smile, Mariah and Edward nodded as well

"When people are wise at a young age it means either they had to grow up really fast or they had been through so much, or both you know?" Her older sister said "Yeah like we're wise but I guess not so much like them because they are put in situations " Markus said nodding, All the girls rolled their eyes "Idiot that's what I just said! Mansplaining i swear"

"Okay Okay kids calm down" Natalie said shaking her head with a smile, she missed this, her family all together with her world traveler

The thought of the girl from the park couldn't leave her, she looked so nice, what if she was forced to grow up? Did something happen to her for her to be so wise? Or is she just smart ? or all of those?

She hoped it was her just being smart because she could already tell that Y/n was a really nice genuine person. 

At the end of the day, Jenna laid down rethinking about today, on how the girl didn't hesitate to pull her in a hug, to listen to her, try to understand and did not question her feelings, The sincerity in her words, her eyes, the worry, she could tell...that this not so stranger anymore actually cared for her

It broke her heart to think she had to go through something to become that wise or that caring for someone she barely knew...
