People Are Puzzles

You said you left

so I could pick up the pieces

to our puzzle but I'm pretty sure

there are some missing

The more I look for said pieces

the less hope I have

I could always buy a new puzzle

but it's just not the same

Why'd you leave?

you could've helped me

you know you scattered the pieces

as you left me

I guess you thought

a puzzle missing pieces

wasn't worth the while

so you left for another

I have no right to be mad at her

I guess I should be mad at you too

I just can't because

you made me love you

I thought you'd acknowledge me

or at least give me an apology

as I've done for you

yet you never pulled through

Maybe if you helped

pick up the pieces

We'd be back together

Or maybe our pieces

Never quite fit after all
