Seasons Change

My favorite season is fall

The leaves are oranges

and yellows and reds

the bare trees stand tall

Fall is the light

before the cold darkness

of winter's grasp

a difference of day and night

Fall is cool

a mixture of all good

warm hues and light coats

a hidden jewel

But as all good does

those same leaves

stop falling and

fall leaves us

Isn't it strange

how good never stays long

when winter comes

remember that seasons always change
