"What made things worse?" I don't really think this is the right time, but I want to know more about Lydia. I want to help her.

"I did. I see the bad side of everything, no matter what it is."

"That isn't your fault."

"The hell it isn't. You're your worst enemy. People can come into your life and can try to make it better or worse, but if you don't let them, they don't make your life any different. I can't help but see the negatives in everything, but the negative side of things is the honest side of things. I only accept the bad things in life."

"If that was true, what are you doing here with me? Or do you see me as another negative?" Lydia doesn't say a word. She just sits with my arms around her for a few minutes.

"Let's go." She  stands up slowly and walks away. I follow her in a fast pace to catch up to her. I try to hold her hand in mine, but she pulls away and continues walking towards the house.
