Sitting on the bench near the forest, Hermione read from one of her new potions books for her Advanced fourth year potions class. She had her back facing the larger more open part of the meadow, she was facing the inside of the forest. The sounds of all the magical creatures within giving her a relaxed feeling. Hermione hummed quietly as she read through the textbook. The satisfying sounds of the parchment pages turning as she read swiftly. Hogwarts castle not too far away, and she had got permission from McGonagall to come out here to read.

Landing on Midgard, Loki saw his beautiful Hermione sitting on a bench before a huge forest. Midgard's sun was hitting her hair perfectly, showing just the smallest hint of red in it. Loki couldn't help but think she would be even more beautiful with long hair. Loki waved his right hand over and above his left one, a light green shimmer sparking between his hands before a gorgeous rose that looked like a flame appeared in his left hand. Loki smirked playfully before came up behind Hermione, he wrapped his arms around her and picked her up, twirling her around, before he said in her ear, "Boo!" Letting his voice be velvety and smooth, just to drive her crazy.

Hermione had nearly jumped t of her skin when he lifted her up, making her drop her textbook. As he twirled her around, she began to giggle and laugh happily. When he finally set her down she playfully hit him on the chest, "You twit! You nearly gave me a heart attack!"

Loki rolled his eyes, a bright and large smile on his face. His emerald green eyes as mischievous as ever, they glimmered under the light of Midgard's sun. Loki pulled the rose out from behind his back suddenly, holding it out to Hermione as he said, "Does this make up for me nearly giving you a heart attack, my darling firebird?" He dragged out the word darling just to tease her.

Hermione's face lit up, a huge smile growing on her face as she gently took the rose, taking in a gentle breath of its scent. Hermione visibly relaxed after smelling it, she then went to place the stem of it between the pages of where she was in her book. Hermione then felt him place his hand on hers, stopping her. He gently took back the rose and easily pulled her hair behind her left ear, then put her rose in her hair and resting on the top of her ear. Hermione blushed with color when he purposely let his fingertips brush her cheek when he pulled his hand back.

"Yes, thank you Loki, what are you doing here at Hogwarts?" Hermione asked Loki as she took his hands, gently running her thumbs across his tops of his hands.

Loki smirked a little playfully and said, "I thought you could use a little distraction from your studies." Loki winked at her before he pulled her in close, taking her book he teleported it to her room in Hogwarts. Hermione huffed a bit stubbornly before she smiled and said, "Fine, what did you have in mind?"

Loki smirked wider before he suddenly pulled her flush against his body. He closed his eyes, letting his shimmery green energy slip around them, enveloping them. When the energy dissipated back into his body, they were standing just outside of Hogsmeade. Hermione looked around and smiled happily, "This is what you had in mind?"

Loki nodded, "I thought I would take you out to a late lunch, early dinner. And then go for a nice walk through the forest, and just to see where the rest of the day takes us."

Hermione and Loki walked hand and hand through Hogsmeade headed to the Three Broomsticks for some food. Meeting some of her friends later on, they all enjoyed each other's company. The bond between Hermione and Loki growing ever stronger.

"How do I look?" Hermione asked as she twirled in a circle before Loki's brother Thor. He had come to escort me to the Yule Ball, she was sad that Loki hadn't been able to escort her.
