Ella's POV

As I walk into the classroom, everyone stop taking and stares. 20 pairs of eyes are now glaring at me wondering what I'm going to do, but the only pair I notice are the gorgeous blue eyes of the boy who seems to care more than everyone else.

WAIT

Did I just say gorgeous

Oh no

I'm not falling for him, I can't.

What did I do in my past life, because whatever it was, karma is not going easy on me in this one.

Theo calls my name and gestures toward the empty seat next to him. As I walk towards it, I can hear people whispering things about me, saying that Theo's way too good for me, and that I'm just a waste of his space and everyone else's. I try to ignore them and instead look at Theo, whose smile just keeps growing every time I see him.

"Hey"

"Hey back" I say in a sort of, my day is going awfully but I'm going to be sarcastic right now, kind of way.

"Don't listen to the girls over there, they are just looking for some attention because they obviously weren't desperate enough" he says rolling his eyes

I laugh quietly, trying to make sure that i don't get noticed by anyone but him.

"There's that smile I've always wanted to see" he exclaims
"It's pretty, it suits you, you should smile more often, it really brings out the brown in your eyes." He says tucking a loose strand of hair behind my ear and then lightly stroking his hand down my cheek.

I move away a little. I've never been touched like that by anyone but my father, and that was exactly before the moment that he would hit me.

"Thank you" I say, trying not too sound too awkward

By then the class was roaring like normal, with people talking about the lasted gossip, or their favourite tv series with their friends.

"Class, settle down now"

A few girls continue laughing

"I said silence" she shouts "now everyone turn to page 44 and discuss the questions with your partner

"Hey Ella"

"Yes Theo"

"Never mind"
