Chap 30 - Please just tell me why

Theo's POV

I lean in closer and so do she. Our lips connect and sparks tingle through every vein in our bodies. Her hands travel to my hair as mine travel to her neck to deepen the kiss.

Suddenly she is pushing me away and running upstairs. I'm not very sure what just happened. I thought she wanted the kiss, she seemed to be enjoying it, well until that moment. Maybe I should just give her a little space.

I sit down on a bar stool at the kitchen counter start to scroll through Twitter.

Half an hour passes

What could she be doing. I can't hear any noise at all. It's almost as if she isn't there.

I get up and walk upstairs to check on her. I look in my bedroom and the guest bedrooms and everywhere else except for one toilet.

I knock

"Hey Ella, are you ok in there?"

No reply

"Ella?"

Still no reply

"Ella come on, just talk to me, I want to help, I'm sorry if you didn't want the kiss, I just thought, oh never mind, just open the door please."

"ELLA IF YOU DON'T OPEN THIS DOOR IN THE NEXT 10 SECONDS IM BREAKING IT OPEN"

Kick

I bust open the door only to find Ella lying on the floor in a pool of her own blood

Her wrists are slit open and blood is still flowing

She's is breathing, but barely

"Ella what the f*ck did you do" I say quietly with tears running down my cheeks

I don't think I've ever cried in my life before. Not once. But I am now. I'm crying for the girl who now lies lifeless in my arms as I get up and carry her into my car once again.

But this time I'm not headed towards home

I'm headed away from it

Straight to the hospital

The fastest I can

"Stay with me Ella, we are nearly there" I say even though I know she probably can't hear me.

"Why Ella? Why?" I ask into mid air as I continue to cry while I drive

"Please just tell me why" I sob, my heart breaking literally into thousands of little pieces.
