Chap 23 - Hang on

Theo's POV

Bang

My gun doesn't go off

Instead someone else's does

Leaving a hole in my stomach

Blood ooses out

Not slowly, but fast

Too fast.

Ella rushes to my side to help me, with tears streaming down her face. I can see the hurt in her eyes and the pain she is going through in the way she holds on to me.

My feelings for her are greater than any other feeling I have ever felt, but this, this is out of my hands right now.

My eyes droop further each second until they are fully shut

Until I am unconscious on a hospital floor bleeding from a gunshot wound.

Ironic isn't it

The gang leader shot and unconscious

And on a hospital floor

A place of healing and supposedly safety

And yet here I am on this floor bleeding out while the one person who truly completes me is in danger

And what can I do

Nothing

Except wait

Wait for someone to come and wake me up

And when that time does come I will not stop until I have her back in my arms, safe, where I know she can't be hurt.

Suddenly I open my eyes. I'm lying in a hospital bed hooked up to all sorts of machines.

"Theo"

"Ace"

"Thank god you are ok man. I didn't know what had happened, or where Ella was, so I just picked you up and ran for help. I thought I'd loose you bro"

"Shit Ella"

"Theo, what exactly happened?"

"Her dad was trying to kidnap her, I pulled out my gun, was about to shoot the Banstead and then I got shot myself. Not by her father but by so,e other guy who I'm assuming worked for her father. I got to get up now" I say while unhooking myself from various machines.

"Steady Theo, we will find her"

"This is all my fault"

"No it's not, calm down Mann"

"I CAN'T CALM DOWN. SHE'S THE ONLY GIRL THAT HAS EVER MADE ME FEEL LIKE THIS BEFORE, AND I'M NOT ABOUT TO LOOSE HER"

"Ok"

"GET THE SECURITY FOOTAGE NOW, AND CALL A GANG MEETING, I WANT ALL TRACKERS GOING THROUGH SECURITY FOOTAGE TRYING TO TRACE WHERE SHE MIGHT BE. I NEED ALL VIDEO FOOTAGE CAUGHT FROM BOTH INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF THIS PLACE, AND ASSEMBLE A TEAM, AND GET ME WEAPONS"

"Yes sir"

I'm coming for you Ella, just hang on.
