oppa? 🔚 chanlix

四 - sì

 
it was felix's first day and he would be lying if he said he wasnt nervous. he took a deep breath walking out of the dorm. chan had left earlier and was no where to be found when felix woke up. he was startled by a familiar face from yesterday.

"felix right?" the boy asked earning a nod.

"I'm seungmin, I heard from chan that we're the same age, I saw you in dance practice yesterday." an 'ahh' left felix's mouth and he nodded, "y-your english is pretty good." seungmin chuckled and nodded, "thanks, I studied in LA for about 3 months in 4th grade." felix blinked, "wait 3 months?! you're pretty good!"

seungmin smiled and pat him on the back, "english is first, come on, I'll take you~" felix smiled and thanked him before following.

felix walked into the classroom taking a seat by the window just in the middle row of the class. he always tried to side near the window, it let him doze off and get lost looking outside. seungmin smiled taking a seat behind him. the class erupted in a matter of seconds.

"LET'S GO! WOO ENGLISH!" hyunjin barged in holding jisung in a choke hold.

'is this what korea's like?'  felix gulped.

"hwang hyunjin, 5 minutes, outside, hands above your head for making a rucus. Jisung take your seat."  hyunjin whined and bowed stepping outside as jisung quickly waddled to his seat next to seungmin.

"hello everyone, today we have a new student from Australia." the teacher looked around before gesturing to felix to stand and come up to the front. he swallowed harshly walking forward and introducing himself.

"hello, my name is felix, please take care of me." it gave him slight déja vu to when he first met chan.

the teacher smiled, "I'm Mr Wang. Everyone, felix doesn't know korean too well so take it slow and don't try to overwhelm him." mr wang pat felix's back and told him he could return to his seat, and he did just that.

The class began smoothly, a little boring, felix yawned, 'this will put me to sleep.' before someone barged in, "excuse me hwang hyunjin, would you like another 10 minutes outside? come in and sit quietly for crying out loud." he bowed and apologised, walking and taking the empty seat next to felix giving a cheeky smile pulling out his notebook studded in sequins and diamonds making felix chuckle, 'or maybe not.'

the bell rung and class ended. felix on his first day, had unfortunately fell asleep in class. the whole past present and future tense wasn't a big brain workout and he ended up dozing off. they were at a reccess currently and felix was still sound asleep on his desk. during this, the class had some visitors. the girls started squealing, in result, waking felix up. he rubbed his eyes to see a few taller figures standing in front of him, "morning sleepyhead~" the figure chuckled, "chan-oppa..?" this was all that was needed to evoke screaming from the rest of the group.

"oppa?! wait what?!"

"wait hold up...did I hear something wrong?"

seungmin sat back, "so you two a thing or something?" felix shot up, "no! what makes you think that?!" chan acted quickly covering seungmin's mouth and 'subtly' gesturing for everyone to go outside so he could explain, leaving felix confused and a little scared.

chan dragged them all out the room, "so we all know that felix is quite limited in his korean knowledge." earning a nod from everyone, "you see....he's not too sure how honorifics work or formal language so....he thinks that....you use oppa instead of hyung."

"and you haven't corrected him? why?" everyone had so many questions and one response answered them all, "no I haven't, I like it okay? I like that he calls me oppa."

minho was puzzled, "aren't you straight?" he questioned, making the aussie stare at him in disbelief, "why does everyone think that? and I'm hurt, we've known each other for two years now don't you remember the thing with that senior?"

"wait what?" practically everyone was confused, ".....f-"

"language!" they all snickered seeing chan's face go red.

"that's besides the point, but guys...please don't tell him, don't correct him I mean..." jisung sighed, "bro, you know that you're leading YOURSELF on right?" chan nodded in response, "yeah, but right now I'm okay with that." he smiled as everyone walked back in. on the side, as the conversation ended was furious, knuckles write and teeth gritted as he followed everyone back into the classroom.

"sorry bout that felix, I realised I had something super important to tell them all about this weekend."

"what's this weekend?" chan panicked, he hadn't thought the whole thing through very well, "a.......suprise! it's a suprise-" seungmin laughed and hit chan's back, "good one, now. all of you get out, you're late for your next class."

'scary-' they all thought as they ran off saying goodbye.

felix was dreading the next class korean language. the teacher entered the classroom and the air went cold, at that moment felix knew he was doomed.

his head hurt, his hand hurt. the whole period was torture, complete torture. felix was exhausted and was relieved that he didn't have anymore classes for the remainder of the day. he collapsed onto the table groaning, "my head hurts..." (a/n: meori apeuda), seungmin chuckled tapping him on the shoulder, "let's go get some lunch, you don't have anything else on right?" the blonde aussie nodded looking up. with that, seungmin rounded up everyone and dragged them to the cafeteria, noticing that the rest of the group were waiting for them.

jisung grabbed felix's wrist and dragged him to the table sitting him down. "so lee felix, tell me about yourself~" felix nodded and started talking freely, frequently stopping and asking chan or seungmin to translate for him. "and also, why do you call chan op- a-ah ow!" he exclaimed being kicked under the table, "don't mind him, probably another nerve spasm, let's go get lunch guys-" chan panicked standing up and heading to. the ordering line, turning to see everyone else following slowly, this was gonna be a long lunch break.
