Chapter 6

Third POV

"Y-yes I w-was" he said as he lowered his head while fidgeting his fingers

"How could you!" Y/n exclaimed

Xero didn't know what he was feeling ,it was a social norm for his mermian to be topless and they don't seem to mind

But this feeling barged and ached his chest alot
He felt as if he did something bad which was weird,
He couldn't look at her in the eye
He felt confused and ashamed...

Y/n gets up and walk off leaving the guilty merman
Alone

Gathering twigs and branches to set up a new fire
Trying to get rid of her anxiousness

'what if he took a photo of me?
What if...'

The list of what if's run through her head
Making her more wary around the merman

She got back to realize he was gone
She felt her heart drop a little knowing she'll be all alone in the island with no one
But didn't mind as doesn't deem to be trustworthy

She gathered all the twigs and branch together
To set up for the next fire for the night

Until she heard a sniffling behind the huge rock on the corner of the island

She slowly walk forward it to find Xero crying,

He couldn't stop his tears
He felt as if he done something unforgivable

He was afraid she wouldn't like him anymore

Y/n tap on his shoulder
Causing him to flinch a little

He turned to face her
"I-im sorry" he said while sobbing
It was weird for y/n
As she never seen a boy at his age crying 
Over small little things

She starts to feel sympathy for him
And decided to brush off the incident

"It's alright" she said , sitting beside him
He felt relieve and decided to hug her
Laying his head on her shoulder

Y/n didn't expect it but still hug him back

He felt safe and warm when y/n arms wrapped around him when hugging

He wanted to stay like this...
He felt like he was a baby to y/n

He was envelope by her warm making him fall asleep

Their hug didn't broke off
Which was a uncomfortable and awkward position

"Hey..."she say

But no response from him
His head fall off her shoulder and into her arm
She looked at him realizing he was sleeping

She didn't know what to do
She can't seem to put him down afterall his heavy

She sighed

She pull his tail up making him lay on her in a comfortable position
While still cradling on him

He felt really comfortable that he unconsciously
Bury his face onto her chest while hugging her on her waist

She blush
But brush it off

"Your like a baby" she muttered
While rubbing his cheek
She couldn't help but treat him like a baby as she's bored and he looked like one too

Reminding her when she took care of her younger sister

She rock left and right slowly while cradling him 

She felt like he was a younger brother.

Nightfalls

Xero was still sleeping in her arms

Y/n didn't seem to mind she seem to enjoy it she felt calm and comfortable

He slowly open his eyes to realize she was cradling him while he was asleep
He blush
He felt much more comfortable as cold winds starts to blow, the sound of the ocean waves starts to get stronger

'maybe...I should act more baby-like to her and then she would stay by my side always'

He groan, snuggling more on her

While she pats his back.
