Darkened

C H A P T E R 2

I blankly stared at my pack mates for a few seconds before it registered to me what they had just said and asked, "Are you fucking with me?" 

Aiden rubbed his chin and looked at me sheepishly "Maybe."

"I am not going back there," I exclaimed.

 Aiden got down on his knees and started begging "Please. You only have to stay there until the Wolves conference and then you can come back home with us. Also Xavier would be with you the entire time and you can show your old pack that you are a bad bitch now."

I looked down into my best friends eyes and then thought about all the innocent pack members that were murdered by the rogues. They were just normal pack members that did nothing to me, I only had beef with the Alpha anyway. I could also go home to meet my parents, Lilith, Gray, Reed, and Ruby who must have been worried about me after I left.

"Fine but only for the two weeks to train their warriors. After that I am out of there and I will meet you at the conference" I said to the boys. 

Aiden got up from his knees and gave me a bone-crushing hug along with the other two boys. Although I didn't want to go back there, Aiden is right, I am stronger and am the beta of one of the most powerful packs. I am now better than him and I am going to show that bastard ex-mate of mine that I am not weak anymore and don't need him.

"When are we leaving for the Dark Moon" I asked Aiden.

"Two days" he replied to me. 

"I will send you the list of what I want you to do there tomorrow afternoon. Xavier and you can pick out the warriors you want to take tomorrow and tell them to pack so you can leave the day after for Dark Moon."

"I better not regret this asshole" I said and before I left I quickly kicked him in the balls and ran away. 

"You bitch!" Aiden explained. 

"That's for not telling me about this before today dumbass" I said running away and laughing my head off. I ran into my room and locked the door before Aiden could run after me.

The next day Xavier and I picked out seven pack warriors to take with us to Dark Moon. Along with that Aiden sent me the list of tasks on what to do in the pack. The next two weeks would consist of training their warriors, helping them hunt down the rouges, and making plans to keep the rouges out of the pack land. After those two weeks me, Xavier, and the Dark Moon high position wolves would go to the Alpha conference to meet with the rest of my pack.

The alpha conference is when the alpha, beta, gamma, and head warrior from all packs in the region meet up to talk about issues of that year. The royal pack is in our region but are not obligated to come to the conference. No one has seen the alpha of alphas also known as the king in over a century. He hasn't come out from the royal pack lands which has the biggest land out of all the packs in the world. Although no one has seen him he is rumored to be cruel and vicious who has no mercy for those who betray and anger him. Lycans are immortal werewolves with extra strength and the royal pack only consists of lycans.

The night before I left for the Dark Moon pack Aiden joined me in my room as I packed. 

"You know you don't have to do this if you don't want to," he said. 

"I don't do anything I don't want to so don't worry" I replied. 

He walked over to my side of my room and gave me a hug "I love you Ana, that bastard didn't deserve you, nobody does". 

I smiled and replied back "I love you too, you are my family and made me who I am now."

"No, I didn't make you, I just helped the badass you come out," he said. 

I laughed and lightly punched him on his arm. 

He mockingly held his arm and said "Ow. I am in an abusive relationship." 

"You haven't seen anything yet," I said, holding up my fist. 

He ran back to the other side of the room and said "Ok. Ok. Calm down woman, I don't want to lose my balls."

As I lay in my bed I thought about how I would be in my old pack again. I was excited to see my parents and friends. I am also excited to show my ex-mate the new me that I made without him. The day we leave I made my way downstairs and headed to the dining hall for breakfast. We're supposed to leave after breakfast for Dark Moon. I enjoyed my last meal with the pack for the next two weeks catching up on the pack gossip. After breakfast we got into the three cars taking us to the Dark Moon. Before getting into Xavier and I's car I hugged Lukas and Aiden hard. They were the one there for me when I was nothing and now stand by me when I am strong.

I got into the car and Xavier asked me "Are you ready for this Ana." 

 I smirked and replied "Let's show Dark Moon the new and improved Analise Kade."
