The crown prince was a character a lot of people liked.

His name was Cyril Regulus Maiandra Adalphine and he was the usual flirty and frivolous character at first glance.

I remember watching my sister play his route during her first playthrough, and his annoyingly handsome face and attitude irked me to no end.

"Why do you even like that playboy bastard? Guys like that just cheat you."

"As if you have any relationship experience, you virgin."

"..."

"..."

"I'm going to kick you out."

"Try if you dare. You know I have a black belt, you wimpy nerd."

Ah... that was an extremely annoying conversation...

Wait! That wasn't what I was trying to remember!

If I remember correctly, my sister then went on a long tirade about why his character was the best, and also why this particular game was the best at it.

"I can't believe I'm going to have to explain to you the appeal of his character. How can you have so little taste, are you sure you weren't adopted?"

"More like mom and dad picked you up from under a bridge, you troll."

She then had me in a headlock as she continued her rant, with a happy smile on her face.

"Although he appears flirty and without worry at first, you learn about his troubles! He confides in you about what he's gone through, showing a new side only to you. He also seems like he has a lot of experience, and it's adorable seeing how awkward he is because he wants to really treasure you! While also at the same time, you're able to get the notorious flirt to settle down and only think about you! Who wouldn't like a love fantasy like that?!"

"Isn't that just massive baggage? I mean, would you date a guy who just only has daddy or mommy issues going for him?! Also, flirts never change! They're just handsome assholes in disguise! You're being tricked!"

"Ohhhhh? Is that so! I guess I wasn't squeezing you hard enough, since you still have the ability to talk trash about my King!"

With the face of a devil, she then continued to try out her moves on me as I gasped for air...

...

I learned that day that sometimes it was best to keep my mouth shut. At least if I wanted to keep my limbs bending in their correct ways.

Although I wasn't seeing how he was any special at first, I'm not gonna lie, I was kind of interested in the story of the prince's backstory.

I thought it was just gonna be some random cheesy shit, but there was actually some interesting drama happening about the prince's succession and stuff like that. Too bad that after the 5th time I had heard the story, I had completely lost interest, and his face just became annoying to look at.

Anyways, I looked ahead of me, my face as expressionless as ever, and I stared at the child in front of me.

He had golden blonde hair that sparkled just looking at it. His eyes were a blue color that was as deep as the ocean. He dressed neatly, but had a cool aura to it, despite being a child. He was wearing a white button-up shirt under his navy blue vest, and he wore trousers and knee-high socks that had a stripe aligning the top of it.

On his ear, he wore an earring that dangled a blue gem encased in an intricate gold cage. This was an accessory that anybody living in this country knew as the identification of the royal family.
