Chapter 15

Firebird

I could see that Elena was truly terrified now, she must have realized that she made a mistake underestimating me.

In a desperate attempt to save herself she tried sending another cocoon like spell towards me but I burnt it before it could reach me.

At this point she looked scared and desperate.

"This should not be possible"
I heard Elena say.

"Oh you poor thing, it is possible"
I smiled and sent a ball of fire towards her.

She screamed the moment it collided with her.

"That is the flame of a pheonix, it will continue to eat at your flesh until I stop it, but don't worry seeing as you claim to be a vampire you will heal quite nicely, now I will ask just once do you surrender"

" yes I do, now please make it stop!" how pathetic, I actually expected more from the so called most powerful witch.

"And the winner and future queen of Themesdera is lady Firebird!" announced the advisor from before and the arena erupted in cheers.

I guess everyone now knew who I was, I looked towards Elena and saw her squirming on the floor,

"Now bow down"

I saw how hesitant and embarrassed she was but I did not care,

"I'm waiting"

And after some few seconds she finally bowed down in front of me, her people looked angry and embarrassed to have such a woman as there princess, while her father looked disappointed. I looked down at her and noticed how disfigured she looked.

The once beautiful princess now had burnt flesh instead of her once beautiful smooth skin and her hair had burnt in the process  except for a few strands sticking on her head and her clothes were completely burnt off leaving her naked, she looked truly hideous and she wasn't healing due to the fact that she wasn't really an hybrid which means she does not  posses any vampire abilities and have been lying to her people all this time.

It seems I'm not the only one that noticed because everyone at the arena started whispering,

"I thought she was part vampire why is she not healing?"

"I knew she was a liar what a disgrace"

"Oh my gosh she looks so hideous"

Everyone was looking at her with disgust, I felt strong arms wrap around me and when i turned around I saw it was Roman who held me while Ezra stood next to him, he suddenly kissed me fiercely and said,

"Don't ever do that to me again"
I smiled and replied

"I make no promises"

I was suddenly in Ezra's arms and he too kissed me passionately before whispering,

"I'm so proud of you sweetheart" I smiled and looked at him.

I turned and saw that Elena had been carried away and that's when I noticed king Alex walking towards us he looked sad, I guess he would, seeing as his daughter just disgraced him in front of the full kingdom,

"King Ezra, king Roman and of course princess Firebird I hope my daughter's attitude will not ruin our treaty".

"Of course not king Alex, we will be discussing and signing the treaty tomorrow, but we would also like to invite you and your people to our wedding which will commence in a few days time" replied Ezra

" I would be honored"
He then turned towards me

"I am beyond impressed princess, you made your kingdom and your parents proud" tears pooled in my eyes when he mentioned my parents,

"Thank you, king Alex"

He bowed,

"Your Majesties" he said and then he was gone.

"We need to talk" said Roman

"I know"

I guess it was time they knew the truth about me.
