There are stories old and true
Of people so in love like you and me

And I can see myself
Let history repeat itself

Reflecting how I feel for you
Thinking 'bout those people then

I know that in a thousand years
I'd fall in love with you again

Saturday

Today was a very busy day, with Mother's Day coming up we were getting ordered like crazy.

Especially since roses are in season, luckily I planted so much roses that my maman was complaining that we had too much.

Look at who has too much now maman.

Anyways I was in the back watering all the plants
"Efi there's a customer, can you help them while I arrange all the new vases?!" I heard her yell from across the big room.

We have our display garden that we put all the pretty flowers so that people could enjoy and sit, then we have our green room in the back. The green room is huge, like the size of two average basements. But the huge flower field is where we grow most of our plants.

We grow so many flowers that to get to the other side of the field or the green room, we sometimes use go carts.

"Ok mom" I dusted off my overall shorts and made my way to the front.

"Cute outfit" I heard a voice say and looked up to see Darren
"I look like I belong in the country farming"
"You kind of are farming"
"Shut up" he laughed as I rolled my eyes

"Let me go get your flowers" I got his flowers from the back and then rang him up

"Did she like the flowers and card" he smiled as genuinely as he could
"Yea she loved it" but his eyes showed that he was lying, I brushed it off. I knew it was corny, he's just too nice to admit it.

"I'm glad she did" I passed him the flowers
"What time do you get off?" he asked and I raised my eyebrow
"5:00, why?"
"I wanted to take you out to eat"

I put my hands on my hips
"Darren Amos does your girlfriend know you ask women out to eat?" he chuckled

"Not like that, more like a thank you meal"
"Thank me for what?"

"Being nice to me for the past 3 years even when I smelled like cigarettes and booze"
I took a second to think... free food, I never pass up free food.

"Sure, as long as it's a friendly meal"
"Ok I'll pick you up at 5"
"Actually how about 6:00, I want to go home and change"

"No problem, then it's a date-" I raised my eyebrow again
"-I mean friendly meal" I couldn't help but laugh at his awkward demeanor
