Third person POV.

Mia crept towards Allegra's room on Leonardo's order and peeked inside.

When she didn't find Allegra inside, she kept the medicines on the side table with a glass of water and rushed towards Leonardo's office to inform him about the absence of Allegra.

"Leo, I'm telling you something is wrong with Allegra. She looked rather pale since yesterday." Antonio informed.

Mia knocked on the wooden door and entered after a positive reply.

"Mia, have you checked on Allegra?" Leonardo asked in a stone-cold voice while Antonio gazed at her.

"Leo, she is not in her room." Leonardo's body posture was tense.

"Could be in the bathroom?" Antonio asked.

"No, she isn't there either." She didn't check in the bathroom, but she was sure that Allegra wasn't there as the lights were off.

Leonardo and Antonio nodded but made no move to check on her.

"Leo, Toni? You guys won't look for her?"

"Mia, she has a weird habit of exploring our house." Antonio chuckled.

Meanwhile, Allegra rushed back into her room with the book and put it safely beside the diary under the mattress.

Not a safe place.

She picked up the books again and rushed inside her bathroom. Wrapping both the books in a plastic shopper, she opened the lid of the tank of the toilet and put the book carefully in it vertically.

Closing the lid, she turned around and flinched when she saw Leonardo entering the bathroom.

"What the- are you doing inside the bathroom?" She asked Leonardo, wide-eyed.

"What are you doing with toilet's tank?"

She gave a side glance at the toilet and said one of the stupidest things ever.

With a megawatt smile, she said, "Just checking where the water is stored."

Leonardo rewarded her with a deadpanned look and move to a side when she walk outside in her bedroom.

"So, what brings you here?" She clapped her hand once after sitting on the edge of the bed.

He stood by the door of the bathroom and crossed his hands in front of him, "Where were you?"

"In the bathroom?" She made the 'ridiculous' face.

"Before that!" He raised a dark brow.

"In the room?"

He sighed and slowly yet dominantly walked towards the bed and sat by Allegra's foot on his knees.

"What were you doing at the abandoned room at the back of the mansion?" He all but whispered.

Allegra sighed. "How come the rest have Aurora as their mother and not us?"

"You wanted aurora as your mother?" He questioned back immediately.

"Who is our father?"

Leonardo gazed at her with hard steal eyes the anger, pain, and suffering passed through his eyes. "Sergio."

And that's when Allegra's whole world crashed down. She could feel her heart dropping to the pits of her stomach.

She couldn't respond. She was speechless. She wanted answers, which he can't give.
