Onyx's POV
"How dare you!"

I rolled my eyes.

"Life would be so much better if you died. You're just a burden."

"No shit Sherlock. You're a bigger burden though. My siblings and I despise you. I'm fucking praying for when my mother breaks up with you."

"That's never gonna happen."

"You never know. My mom could rip your heart out tomorrow. Hell, I'd even help her."

He started punching me. I used my arms to cover my face.

"Let him go!"

I looked and saw Marionette pulling Mason's pant leg.

"Princess go in my room."

"No!"

"Marionette Jane Jericho go in my room now!"

She started running. I was thrown to the ground.

Jesus fucking Christ.

Don't die.

Don't fucking die Onyx!

I woke up on the floor with a massive headache.

Fuck.

Shuck possibly gave me another concussion.

I stood up and stumbled up to my room. I looked in the mirror and saw I had a black eye. After I dropped Marionette and Alexander off, I drove myself to school. I parked then went to my locker. Nolan and my other friend Casey were at my locker.

"Damn what the hell happened to you?"

"What do you think?"

"Mason again?"

"Mhm."

After I was done with my locker I slammed the door. I stomped off to my class. Mr.Richards walked up to me.

"My office now."

I rolled my eyes and followed him. I sat down in a chair. I crossed my arms.

"So you got sent back?"

"Mhm."

"I wish my calls worked."

"Y-you've called?"

"Many times. Nobody's shown up to your house to ask questions?"

I shook my head.

"Nope. System must be corrupt."

Doesn't Mason have a relative that works with CPS?

That explains a lot then.

"I miss my dad. He honestly was the best."

"Have you thought about going back to therapy?"

"My mom doesn't care enough to look for one that's right for me. I have to go off on my own to get my medication. She stopped taking me to my psychiatrist so, I have to take myself."

"Why don't you try to talk to Primrose?"

"No offense but, how many times do I have to tell you this? I don't like people."

"You should start to let people back in."

"What's the point?" I said as I shrugged.

"You need to learn how to make friends again."

I exhaled.

"I don't think so. I'm fine with the ones I have."

"Have you talked to Amy?"

"Ew. No. I don't want anything to do with her."

"What if she gets out one day?"

"Oh well. Sucks to be her. She's never seeing her daughter. I don't care."

"What if Marionette asks anything?"

"I'll tell her the truth. She's a bad person."

Once again I was in the principal's office all day. I saw that girl from the other day at her locker. I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"There you are! Richards had you locked up again?"

"Yeah."

"There's a party tonight. You going?"

"Nah."

"Why not? You used to go to them all the time."

I took the hand off my shoulder.

"Keywords there are "used to." that's not me anymore."

"Are you afraid you'll have a one nighter and give MJ a sibling?"

"Ew. Fuck no."

I started walking away.

I can't wait to get outta here.

"Don't you remember we have practice tonight? If you show up drunk, you're off the team."

The next day at practice, I was the only sober one.

It's bad enough I have to deal with a drunk at home.

Now I gotta worry about them here?

This town sucks.

At home I couldn't sleep. I just stared at my ceiling.

Was I really about to talk to that new girl?

I mean..

She is cute.

Okay what am I saying?

Last time I thought a girl was cute, I got stabbed.

I screamed into my pillow.

I don't miss her.

I never even think about her.

I got up and went into my bathroom. I turned on the light. I started looking at my scars.

I could have MJ draw something for me to cover it with.

My sister and I have been doing everything we can to get me and the kids somewhere safe.

I HATE IT HERE!
