Chapter fourteen

I ran and ran till I arrived at my house. My mind was everywhere as my head spun and my vision got blurry. What was I going to tell my best friends? Im just going to disappear without any information? I wiped my eyes. Locking my door and running to my room. Why can't I just live a normal life.

I packed some clothes in a backpack for however long I was going to be away for. I don't want to run. I can't. Im leaving everything behind. I can't just do that.

I took a break to breathe. I shut my eyes taking a deep breathe while running a hand through my blonde locks.

I brought myself back to reality, packing most of my bikinis and outfits a long with hygiene products. Who knows where I will be going and for how long.

Once I was done I grabbed my phone and ran back down the hall and out the front door. I ran and ran till I got to the Cameron residence. I busted through the front door and ran upstairs to Rafe's room. He was sitting on his bed with his phone in his hand.

"Hi." I whispered.

"Hey." He whispered back with a smile immediately getting up from his position.

"Whats happening where are we going? Are you okay?" I said wrapping my arms around his neck and pulling him into a hug.

"Im okay." He smiled. I nodded and my breathing became more calm. I felt safe with Rafe. Like he can protect me.

"We are going to lay low at a hidden house here in outer banks, but you cannot text anyone and you have to power off your phone. Nobody must know where we are okay? I told War sand Rose to keep quiet. Lily can hack our phones and trace our location if she is that smart. We will stay there till it's clear to leave. My dad and Rose just think were going there for a while to get away. Don't worry it's gonna be okay. Were going to be okay." He said while cupping my cheeks and nodding. I smiled softly as a tear rolled down my cheek.

"You're gonna be okay. I promise." He said while holding me. His hand on my head as the other on my back as mine wrapped around his waist. I took deep breaths pulling myself together. We pulled away from eachother grabbing our bags and running downstairs. We hopped in his range rover and drove off. I made sure to keep a look out in case anything looked suspicious.

When I noticed nothing seemed off I relaxed in my chair glueing my eyes to the road. After what felt like forever we arrived at the undisclosed location. It really was well hidden. Trees surrounding it and a gate with high quality security. We checked in and parked in the garage. It was one size down from the Cameron's house but still big. I wouldn't even notice this if I passed here.

We got out of the car, grabbing our bags and walking into the house. It was very clean and organized. It smelled very clean I loved it. I powered off my phone and so did Rafe just for safety reasons.

"Home sweet home." Rafe said admiring the room. It was really nice I have to admit.

"Come on. Ill show us to our room." He said and I nodded as we walked up the stair case. We got in our room and it was very plain. Black bed sheets and modern furniture. The bed was quite big i'd say a king or queen.

"Im guessing this is the master bedroom?" I said and he nodded.

"Yup." He said popping the p at the end of the sentence. I placed my bags down and laid on the bed and Rafe did the same.

"We will be safe here. Trust me." He said and I nodded turning my body so I can face him.

"We should get ready for bed. Im pretty tired and im still quite scared." I said getting up from the bed.

"Hey. Don't be scared I got you." He said and I nodded.

"Why don't we just go to the police Rafe? They can take care of it." I said and he shook his head.

"We have no proof. They won't believe us. Unless.." He said and I scrunched my brows together.

"We kill her first." He said and my eyes widened in shock.

sorry this chapter is short guys! trust me the chapters will get better. I don't plan on taking it past 30 so this book may end in the 20's maybe reach 30. So get ready. Next chapter will be good. I hope.
