Chapter twenty-two

Madison Harper
I went to Rafe's house because I didn't know where else to go. Hopefully he can help me. Ward and Rose were on a work trip again and this time they took Sarah with them. I parked the car and turned to look at my brother.

"Where the hell are we?" He said as his eyes became more and more low.

"Were at Rafe's house- listen stay with me okay?" I said and he nodded. I got out of my side of the car and walked over to his side. I opened the door for him and his body just plopped right out, hitting the ground.

"Asshole." He mumbled and I gasped.

"Fuck sake's Gio." I said kneeling down and picking him up. That was very difficult due to the fact I was 10 times smaller than him, but I managed to pick him up. We were walking to Rafes porch as I knocked hard. Blood covering my hands.

"And just an fyi, I didn't drop you dumb fuck." I said and he chuckled. The door opened and it was Rafe. His eyes widened at the sight in front of him.

"Jesus Madison what the fuck happened!" He said and just as I was about to answer Giovani did it for me.

"Got shot, happens on the daily to be honest." He said with a faint chuckle.

"Goodness." I said walking in the house as I set him on the island.

"Can you help me! Please!" I said as a tear fell down my face.

"Yeah hold on." He said running upstairs.

"Hey don't cry i'm fine." My brother said wiping away my tear. The blood from his hands getting on my face. His words causing me to cry even more.

"Here!" Rafe said handing me a first-aid kit. Great, I don't know what im doing but ill try.

I lifted up his shirt to reveal a wound with blood spilling out of it. Shit.

I grabbed a cloth and placed it on his wound attempting to stop the bleeding. I then grabbed tweezers and looked him in the eyes.

"This is going to hurt." I said and he shrugged his shoulders.

"Used to it." He said casually.

"What?" I furrowed my brows in concern. I then shook my head grabbing the tweezers and pulling out the bullet. I guess he was right because he showed no emotion.

"Okay there." I said placing the bullet on the table and grabbing an alcohol pad cleaning the remaining blood and his wound. He attempted smacking my hand away as he grunted in pain. Rafe was just chuckling from behind me.

"Can you not?" I said looking at him with a 'what the fuck' face.

"It hurts." He said. "Bitch." He mumbled. I looked at him raising my brows and Rafe laughed even more at my reaction. I pressed harder on his wound and he flinched.

"Ow ow ow ok ok i'm sorry I was joking!" Giovani said causing me to laugh.

After I was done I attempted to stitch him up which I surprisingly did and put a bandage on him.

"There dickhead." I said slapping the bandage and his body jolted.

"Thanks sis." He said and I smiled.

I went to the bathroom to wash my hands and Rafe appeared at the door frame.

"Are you okay? What's going on?" He said in panic.

"Im fine Rafe." I said and he grabbed my chin forcing me to look up at him as he placed a kiss on my soft lips. He pulled away and waited for me to explain. We went into his room and I explained everything. He paced back and forth his chest rising and falling with anger.

"Rafe?" I said.

"Fuck!" He shouted grabbing a vase and throwing it across the room. I flinched in fear staring at the scene. I felt tears fall from my eyes once again as he looked at me.

"Shit, im sorry Madison-" He said attempting to touch me but I pushed him away.

"Don't!" I shouted and Rafe looked at me in guilt.

"Im sorry. I- I didn't mean to scare you." He said and I looked around the room. Something isn't right.

"Madison-" Rafe said but was cut off by my hand covering his mouth. He furrowed his brows at me as I looked around the room. Something is off. I put a finger over my lips insinuating Rafe to be quiet. He nodded.

Fuck Gio. I quickly left the room and downstairs with Rafe following behind me. Giovani was still on the island just on his phone. I sighed in relief going over to him.

"Gio something isn't right. I think someone's here." I whispered and he looked around the room pulling out his gun. I pulled out mine as well and Rafe raised his brows at us. He did the same. I looked at him with wide eyes as I saw it was the same gun he used to kill Lily.

"You didn't throw it in the ocean!" I whisper shouted and he shook his head.

"Guys not now! Argue later." Giovani whispered causing me to side eye Rafe. We walked outside making sure it was safe.

"There's nothing here." He shrugged his shoulder and then suddenly we heard a gun shot. We ducked down and ran to a place to take cover.

"Shit!" I said.

"Madison. Stay. Here. I can't have anything happening to you." Giovani said and I shook my head.

"No! Gio don't go!" I said. "Rafe you either." They looked at each other and back at me.

"Please." I whispered as my voice cracked.

"Fine." Gio rolled his eyes going back to his position. I smiled as we all stayed here. I peaked my head around the corner to see Grayson and 2 other men walking around the house.

"Shit." Rafe whispered.

"We need a distraction!" I whisper shouted.

"I got it." Giovani said and I narrowed my eyes at him.
