Alaelanna Thorne did not grow up as most girls her age would. She was surrounded by whispers and hisses of abuse from behind forked teeth, that seemed to follow her around wherever she went. Nothing she could do or say seemed to please them, no matter how hard she tried.
Now, with threats of war being whispered all around the corridors of King's Landing, and with her grandfather dying, Alaelanna was left in a state of confusion about where her place would be. She was not the heir to the throne, a mere second child of her parents, so she was not considered as useful.
But whilst she was trying to think on all of this, there was an ever present shadow glaring at her back with one, cruel eye.
Aemond Targaryen despised Alaelanna with all of his heart. Where she had caring parents and siblings, his were not. Where she was gifted a dragon at birth, he had to lose an eye for it. Where she was favoured and adored, he was scorned.

So, this is my Aemond Targaryen book and I'm so excited for it. Alaelanna is such a cool character, and her dragon, Littlewing, is such a darling. There's gonna be a bit of time jumps as we go between the episodes for the first bit so that you can get to know her before we go into the main story. Also, this is a spin-off of the Queens of Eternity book Donna, so Alaelanna's father is Malkym. To those confused, Malkym married Rhaenyra and that's about as much as you need to know.
