Grayson's POV

I watch Eira intensely as she stands frozen in front of the ice skating center
"Eira?"
"Are you gonna move at some point towards the building the kids are waiting?"
She shoots me a glare
"Alright then" I throw her over my shoulder and hold the childrens hands as we cross the street
"Grayson put me down"
"Not until you tell me what's wrong"
I pay for the kids skates mine and Eira's who's being very stubborn
"Sissy can't skate"
"Milly" she whines
"Here kiddo" I say handing Milly her skates
"Marcus buddy" I say handing him his tiny skates
He shoots a shy smile before hiding behind Milly again
I put Eira down on a bench
And hand her the skates
"Eira I promise you"
"you're gonna be fine I'll teach you"
"Fine give me the skates" she says like a literal child
She puts them on and I help her lace the up
"You don't have to you know?"
"Eh I want to I lace up skates all the time"
I quickly do mine and hold out my hand before we get on the ice
Marcus is actually not bad but decided he wanted a plastic reindeer to push around to better help with balance
Milly just wanted to skate around
"Eira I'm right here it's gonna be okay it's actually not that hard"
"Yes it is" she says her skates sliding all over the place
I hold her hand to keep her steady and decide to skate slowly
"Grayson I'm gonna fall" she whines
"So?"
"fallings apart of it"
"And I'll be right here to pick you back up"
Slowly but surely she starts to get the hang of it
"Grayson look!" she smacks my arm gently
"I'm doing it!" she says happily
"Great now try it alone" I say letting go
"Wait Grayson" she slides across the ice like a crazy person
But she maintains balance and actually does it for a little bit before falling
"You good Jameson?" I ask skating towards her
"Yeah actually I am" she says smiling
I take out my phone and take a picture of her
"You think this is funny don't you?" she asks failing to get up
"Very funny" I say pulling her up with little effort
"You're to strong" she says frowning
I laugh as I hold her hand again and skate

"That wasn't so bad was it Eira?"
"No not bad wilder, not bad at all"
"Shoot we should be heading back" Eira says checking her phone
"I need a massage"
"My back is sore from falling"
We hold hands as we walk the kids back to the car
"I can give you a massage"I offer
"Oh it's okay I was kidding"
"You sure?"
"Yep"
"Alright but the offer still stands just ask"
She looked at me with her beautiful doe eyes
And I wondered how I never knew about this girl before
Later at the house Eira decided to take a shower and I decided to call my mom
"Hey hunny how's it going?"
"I'm just at my girlfriends right now it's been good so far"
"That's good sweetie"
"I'm so excited to see you"
"So am I"
My throat closes up a little bit
"How are you mom?" I ask the question feeling loaded
"I'm doing okay the doctors said everything's going smoothly with treatments"
"That's good mom I'm glad"
The water stops running
"Listen I gotta go but I'll talk to you later ok?"
"Ok sweetie I love you"
"I love you too"
"Secret girlfriend I don't know about?" Eira says in a strangely jealous voice
Her hair was wet and she had a thin tank top with shorts on
I laugh sitting on the bed
"Jealous?" I question with a grin
"No just wouldn't want a strange girl coming to my home and blowing the whole operation"
I pull her hips forward so she's nice and close to me
"That was my mom"
"Oh" she says her voice sounding small
"Do you have a girlfriend?" she asks with questioning eyes
"Yes"
Her eyes went wide
"You do!
"Grayson why didn't you say anything?!"
"You Jameson you're my girlfriend"
"Did you forget that in this house we're together?" I say quirking a brow
She parts her lips in shock and pushs me down on the bed
But I pull her on top of me with little effort
"I like your eyes" I say moving the hair out of her face
She leans down and just before we're about to kiss little miss Milly Busts in
"Dinners ready!"
Eira dips her head into my shoulder with embarrassment and I just laugh
