I entered the Halloween party, my costume transforming me into a radiant Angel. It may have been a typical choice, but I didn't mind. As I stepped into the house, the vibrant atmosphere overwhelmed my senses. I couldn't help but notice the provocative outfits and couples passionately entangled in each other's arms, their inhibitions cast aside for the night.

Sighing in slight exasperation, I scanned the crowd, searching for my friend amidst the sea of revelers. That's when Heeseung, dressed as the Devil, leaned casually against the doorframe and greeted me with a mischievous smirk.

"Don't call me that," I retorted, my eyes still darting around the room in search of my companion.

"Not very angelic of you, y/n," Heeseung chuckled, his voice dripping with playful amusement.

I shot him an annoyed glance, my attention momentarily diverted from the quest to locate my friend. Taking a moment to observe his devilish costume, I couldn't help but comment, "Your costume could use a little more effort."

Heeseung shrugged nonchalantly, his smirk still intact. "It was a last-minute decision. I had planned to be something else until I heard a little birdie mention that an Angel would be gracing the party tonight," he confessed, his audacity leaving me momentarily stunned.

"Someone's obsessed," I chuckled, attempting to mask my surprise at his sudden boldness.

"Only for you," Heeseung replied, his words laced with a passionate undertone. The unexpected flirtation caught me off guard, causing my cheeks to flush with warmth. I averted my gaze, feeling a mix of embarrassment and intrigue.

Before Heeseung could continue, our conversation was abruptly interrupted by someone calling my name in excitement.

"Y/n!" my friend, Riah, exclaimed, rushing over to me and enveloping me in a tight hug.

Relieved to have a momentary escape from the charged atmosphere, I greeted Riah with a smile. "Hi, Riah!"

Heeseung gracefully stepped away, a playful smirk dancing on his lips as he winked at me. "I'll see you later, Angel," he taunted, before confidently strolling off into the crowd.

Riah couldn't contain her excitement. "Was THE Heeseung just flirting with you?!?" she blurted out, drawing the attention of a few curious onlookers amid the pulsating music.

Feeling self-conscious, I quickly placed my hand over Riah's mouth, trying to regain some semblance of privacy in the midst of the party's chaos. Her eyes widened with realization, and she removed my hand from her mouth, whispering a hushed "sorry" in apology.

I sighed as I grabbed Riah's hand, leading her towards the punch table. Pouring two cups, I handed one to her and took a sip from mine.

As Riah continued to rant about how Heeseung likes me, I couldn't help but chug down my drink, trying to drown out her words. Slamming the cup down on the counter, I interrupted her tirade.

"He doesn't like me, Riah. He acts like that with every girl," I spoke, a tinge of jealousy creeping into my voice.

Riah crossed her arms, raising a brow. "Have you witnessed it?" she asked, her curiosity evident.

I paused for a moment before admitting softly, "No..."

A smirk played on Riah's lips, clearly amused by my confession. "Go get him, girl," she encouraged, playfully punching my shoulder.

"I don't know," I hesitated, my gaze fixated on Heeseung who was surrounded by a group of girls. Insecurity gnawed at me as I became increasingly conscious of the stunning women vying for his attention.

Noticing my apprehension, Riah grabbed my face gently, forcing me to meet her eyes. "Girl, you've got this. Don't worry about those girls. Walk right into the middle of them, grab his hand, and walk away with confidence," she advised, giving me a determined smile before giving me a slight push toward Heeseung.

"Now go," she urged. I sighed, steeling myself before taking a step towards him.

Heeseung noticed me and his smile widened. I maneuvered my way through the crowd of girls, reaching out to grab his hand.

"Let's dance," I demanded, pulling him away from the group. We stopped as we distanced ourselves from the now furious and jealous girls.

"You want me all to yourself, huh?" Heeseung flirted, a mischievous grin playing on his lips.

"Yes," I replied assertively, exuding confidence.

"I like this side of you, Y/n," Heeseung commented, his voice laced with admiration. I chuckled softly, intertwining my hand with his as we made our way to the center of the dance floor.

The upbeat music transitioned into a slow dance song. Heeseung extended his hand with a smile.

"May I?" he asked, his eyes filled with warmth.

I caught a glimpse of Riah cheering for me in the corner of my eye. "You may," I responded, taking his hand in mine. He placed his hands on my waist while mine wrapped around his shoulders. We swayed to the music, my head finding its place on his shoulder.

In his presence, I felt safe and secure. At school, he would tease me relentlessly and always find a way to strike up a conversation. Secretly, I had started developing feelings for him, but I had been in denial. Behind his bad boy persona, he displayed a sweet side and treated me with respect.

Lost in my thoughts, I was brought back to reality as Heeseung lifted his head from mine. I raised my head to meet his gaze, and his expression softened, a gentle smile gracing his lips.

"I like you, Y/n," Heeseung confessed in a tender voice.

A smile bloomed on my face, my cheeks warming up. "I like you too," I replied, my voice filled with sincerity.

Heeseung lightly held my chin, leaning in until our faces were inches apart. Our lips met in a gentle kiss, and I closed my eyes, savoring the moment as my hands caressed his face.

We pulled apart, both of us wearing wide smiles, and resumed our slow dance, cherishing the intimate connection we shared.
