Chapter 8

After an hour of driving, Isha, Meera, and Saanvi reached the location sent by Ara. They parked heir cars and stepped out, taking in the breath-taking view before them. The lake house that stood by the shimmering waters of the lake left them utterly mesmerized.

The lake house was a picture of serenity, nestled amidst lush greenery and surrounded by the calm, glistening waters of the lake. Its architecture was charming, with a rustic yet cosy feel that immediately made them feel at home.

The beauty of the scene before them was beyond words. The clear blue sky above, the reflection of the house in the tranquil waters, and the soothing sounds of nature created a sense of peace and wonder. It was as if they had stumbled upon a hidden paradise.

As they approached the lake house, they couldn't help but smile at each other, their eyes sparkling with excitement. They knew that this enchanting location was the perfect starting point for their adventure, and they were eager to explore every corner of it.

With a sense of awe and anticipation, they unlocked the door, surprisingly it wasn't locked and stepped inside, ready to begin their adventure in this beautiful lakeside retreat. Little did they know the incredible experiences and memories that awaited them in the days to come.

Once everyone was done with looking around, they made themselves comfortable on the circular couch with a coffee table in the middle.

Isha started the discussion saying " Guys we need a plan to learn the truth, so where do you think we should start ?"

Saanvi said " The matter seems to date back to time when our grandparents were youngsters because if the incident would have taken place recently then we would have definitely known about it. Why don't we start from the palace ?

Meera said " but, how are we going to learn anything from the palaces ? and moreover if anyone learns about are plan we are done for"

After thinking for a while, Isha said " Why don't we look through the store rooms of our palaces and I have an instinct that we are going to find something there, and we can also ask the servants of the palace who were present there since those , what do you guys think ? "

After a minute of silence all the youngsters who were listening to intently screamed " You guys are geniuses di "

All of them decided they would head back immediately and look through the store rooms and find the servants present in the palace since the time their grandparents were youngsters. They created a WhatsApp group with a cringy name "Kooky Clan" (Kooky - means slightly strange). Isha, Meera and Saanvi had a laugh on the named suggested by their siblings and all of them departed from the lake house.

After 2 hours, around 1:30, all them reached their respective palaces. The minute they entered their palaces they were asked to have lunch but they denied saying they had their lunch on the way. After distracting their family, all of them went in search of the store room in their respective palaces.

At the Rajvansh palace

Saanvi and Adithi were looking through the rooms on the last floor as according to Adithi all the mysterious rooms would be present in the last floor of any house and her prediction was right as they found the store room on the last floor of the palace, Saanvi quickly opened the room using the key she had taken from the Chief of Security's office by distracting him.

They stepped inside, cautious of their steps and both of them were looking in different directions. Suddenly, Adithi said " Di look here, it seems someone else was also here recently but, as far as we know no one uses this room right? And look at this photo di I'm pretty sure someone was here to look at this photo as it is clean and all the others photos lying here aren't "

Saanvi said " We'll talk about this later, first let's get out of here " and quickly took a pic of it on her phone and got out of there.

At the Rajput Palace

Dhruv and Amaira too found a clean photo among the dust filled photos in their store room. They also took a picture of it and got out of the store room without making anyone suspicious.

At the Chauhan Palace

Isha and Ishaan also found a clean photo among their dusty store room. They also took a pic of it.

At the Rathore palace

Meera, Arnav and Ishitha too found a tidy photo in their store room filled with dust and took a pic of it.

After dinner everyone went back to their rooms wondering about the photo as they couldn't recognise 4 people from the photo. Just then, Ara made a group call and everyone picked up almost immediately and they informed each other about their findings. Ara asked them to send it in the group and all of them sent it at the same time. They were all shocked to know that they all had found the same photo.

Just then, Ara said "Guys guess what I too looked through the store room of our palace as i had an instinct and found the exact same photo. Looking at the photo it seems all of them had great friendship and our suspicion is true. Now, guys go to the staff quarters and secretively enquire about the longest serving servant in all the palaces "

All of them agreed as that was their only way of knowing the truth. They quickly went to the staff quarters of their respective palaces and all of them got the same answer that the lady named Amba was the longest serving servant in the palace and on further enquiry they learnt that she now lives in the village outskirts. They asked the servants to not inform anyone of their enquiry and the servants obliged.

All of them texted the very same information in their group " Kooky Clan". As they texted they decided that they will go meet Amba tomorrow and learn the complete truth of their grandparents without any fabrications and lies. Finally, they felt a sense of achievement and it was encouraging and motivating for them. They once again vowed to solve their grandparents dispute at any cost as their grandparents happiness mattered the most to them.
