"Let him box now" I tell GP. I know we have to do it now for him not to come out in too much traffic.

But then I look at the weather radars. "Wait" I said as I put my hand up. "Don't let him box now. We will wait"

We will wait because it's gonna be raining in a few minutes and not just a little. It was gonna be pouring rain.

GP didn't question it, he just nodded and told Max there was rain incoming. Classic Max just responded "Lovely"

But Max had nothing to worry about, we changed tires for both him and Checo and they were both surprisingly good.

Max won and Checo ended on P3. This was exactly what we wanted. I couldn't be happier with the result.

I was still on a high when I walked out of the garage and I was even more on cloud nine when Nate smiled at me.
He was gorgeous. His smile could knock me off my feet.

"Don't stare at my mechanic like that" Lando grumbled as he walked passed me.

He was back to being a dickhead, I thought something changed last evening. I definitely felt something change but I guess I was wrong.

It wasn't my fault he was didn't finish on the podium.

Okay maybe it was.

"I am actually going on a date with him so I'll stare at him tonight" I shrugged. I didn't wait for him to answer because he probably wasn't gonna answer anyways.

But he gently grabbed my arm, pulling me back. "You are what?"

"I am going on a date with him" I repeated, but this time a little more softly.
I was surprised by his reaction to say the least.

"With Nate?" He tightened his grip a little.

I tried to get out of his grip but I couldn't.

I nodded. What was his problem? He chuckled a little. "You don't know him"

I snorted. He was right, I didn't really know him but I knew him well enough. We talked through my notebook but I wasn't gonna tell him that.

"And why do you care?" I asked.

He loosened his grip. "I don't"

We didn't say anything else. We just looked at each other. His thumb brushed against my arm. "I don't" he said again, but this time a lot softer.

"You don't" I mumbled, matching his voice.

We weren't really having a conversation anymore. This was just babbling, repeating the same thing over and over again.

"He's not good for you" he sighed. "What do you mean by that?" I think we were both shocked by how low our voices were right now.

"Come on lovebirds, we have media who's waiting for us" Max interrupted us as he looked at Lando. We both took a step back from each other as if we were just caught by our parents.

"Right. Good luck" I mumbled and walked back to the Red Bull hospitality. I looked behind me, Lando was still looking at me.

I couldn't read him. Most of the times, he acted as if he hated me but then there were little moments like that when I felt as if he maybe didn't hate me.

As if he actually liked me.

I brushed my fingers against the table where I would leave my notebook. "Hi pretty one, are you ready?" A voice immediately made me look behind me.

It was Nate, looking just as handsome as this morning.

"I am" I nodded. He offered his hand and I quickly put my hand in his.

Lando didn't know what he was talking about, this guy was good enough for me.
