The house is decorated. Diyas are scattered. Rangolis are being made. Cousins are getting ready. And my Bhai....he is coming back here after so long.
This Diwali is going to be really fun.
Suddeny, there was a tap on my shoulder. i turned back, it was my Rehaan Bhai, tears of joy formed in my eyes and I hugged him tightly.
"Bhai...you came. How are you? when did you arrive? Why weren't you answering my calls if you were coming here?"
His reply was "At least let me breath. I just arrived here and you are showering me with your questions" "But why weren't you answering my calls?" I asked him.
"Uhh...I had to drive here and i was stuck in the traffic" My bhai said. I nodded as answer making an Ooo on my face.
"By the way, you are looking pretty behna" He said smiling to me. I smiled back and thanked him.
"What are you two gossiping without me?" It was our Maa. Bhai saw her and touched her feet. "Maa, kaisi hai aap?"
"Mai thik hu, tu kaisa hai beta?" She said smiling. "Mai badhiya, waise aaj ghar ki saari auratein kitni pyari lag rahi hai. ab aapko hi dekh lo" I chuckled at his words. They hugged each other and I joined them.
Translation : "Maa, How are you?" "I am fine, how are you son?" "I am fine, By the way, all the women of the house are looking so lovely today. Now look at you.

Everyone was sitting in the living room. Cousins were talking about party and crackers. The adults were discussing about the business and the mothers were gossiping about their jewelleries and sarees. And so, i joined them.
Suddenly my phone rang, it was my Aarav. He wished me 'Happy Diwali' and i wished him back happily. I went to the back yard to talk to him.
"When are you coming to meet me and my parents, it's Diwali and everyone is here" i asked him. "Do i really need to come there?" He replied back. "Everyone is present and i think you should" I said to him.
"A-Adaa, i'll try my best to arrive there tomorrow" He said hesitating. "oh-okay" I said that and he suddenly cut the call.
I think someone was there while he was talking to me or maybe I am just overthinking, i guess. Why would he hesitate to meet my parents? We are dating for more than 3 years. He promised to meet them and make them agree for our marriage.
Suddenly i heard my brother calling my name. "Adaa, what are you doing here? Everyone out there is waiting for you" Arjun said . "I was just talking to someone, I'll be there in a minute"
