Sanem floated into her room and grabbed her leather journal, sitting down trying to put her thoughts in order. She had just spent a wonderful evening with Can, talking and laughing. It was exactly what she had hoped for. Easy conversation between two friends.
The only thing was his revelation that he had had a crush on her in high school?? What..in..the..world? She was still trying to wrap her head around it.
Grabbing a pen, Sanem began to write:
What are these strange feelings I'm having. Is this a new beginning for me? The way he looks at me makes me wonder if he still has feelings for me. And if he does, what would that mean to me? I'm searching my heart and I fear it may betray me.
My mind tells me this isn't right. But my heart...my heart is telling me to open up. We have been apart for so many years! I've been married and become a widow in that time. I've lived a lifetime since we saw each other last. But the way he looks at me, I'm sure my heart will give it away, divulge my secret.

Back at home, nursing his third drink, Gio is frantically trying to decide what to do. He saw the way Can looked at Sanem and that was no distant high school friend. This man was in love with her. He was sure of it. Something about that made Gio very territorial.
He hated feeling that way about Sanem as if she were an object but judging from Can's online photos, he was a womanizer and Sanem was nothing more to him than a conquest.
He would never let this man hurt Sanem. She was too precious, too trusting and still very vulnerable. He was going to put a stop to this once and for all. Why was he even at Sanem's house, he thought angrily. I've only been there once or twice and then with the group from work.
His mind going to dark places, thinking of what this player was trying to do with Sanem's heart was making him more and more angry.
If Can Yaman wanted a fight, he's got one. Gio wasn't going to back down. He would protect Sanem at all costs, even from herself. He hated to admit the way she looked at Can. She was too good for that man. She was too good for any man.

Can called Sanem the day after their dinner, to let her know he would be coming by her office the following day to bring her the proofs from the shoot. He was old school and still liked developing photos to paper but would provide them in digital form as well. The plan was made for them to choose the best one but give Sam the choice of which to use for the front cover of his book.
As Can closed up his hut that turned into a makeshift dark room, he was anxious to get the photos developed, especially the ones he took of Sanem when she wasn't looking.

A little while later, he smiled as her photo processed. Wow this woman was gorgeous. The best part was she had no idea. Can had known and dated several really beautiful women before but none had the qualities that Sanem did.
