"Heyyy Olivia, it's been a while
...how are you?"
"Good..." I say nodding my head while sqeuuzing my eyes
"Wait u know her kayla?" asks
Grace
"Yeah we were...friends" says Kayla
"Yeah... Friends" I say, licking my teeth
"Okayyyy... Well who wants drinks? " asks Grace
"I'll take a shot, you got shots kayla? " says Neveah
"Is that even a question, obviously i do...do u want one liv?"
"Liv".... I haven't heard someone call me that in a few years.
"no I don't want one... And it's olivia for you" i say unpleasantly
"Woww olivia u guys got history or are u just like this already?" Asks Nicolas
as Grace decided to be a hero, save the mood and says "Heyy, come in guys let's not start yet..the night just started and-"
As Grace is talking, someone comes through the door and it's the same guy I saw in the halls, he seems to be with his friend.
He waves his hand at Kayla and she just smiles and nods as if there not dating anymore. He gives Nicolas a bro handshake.
As he sits next to Nicolas I notice a tattoo behind his neck that HE had.. And I realize.
It's him, it's Alex... The one person I never thought I'd see again is sitting right in front of me.
And he noticed me too.
He's looking at me.
Why isn't he looking away.
I quickly grab my book and hold it in front of my face so he doesn't realize it's me.
I slowly slide it down to see if he's still looking...
Oh no... He's still staring
He tilts his head, smiling
Okay he noticed me... I need to use the bathroom.
I get up and rush to the bathroom
OK. The bathroom is my favorite place to calm down
But I have to think... What do I do, I mean I can't go back there.
*I take a deap breath
It's not that big of a deal I mean he probably doesn't remember me right?... Right?
I get out of the bathroom and get back in my seat... But he isn't there...
Great!! Amazing!!
Alright... I need a drink
"Hey Grace, give me a shot" I say confidently
"Alright, party girl mode on" she says as she hands me a shot of alcohol
And I take it.
As soon as I drank the tequila I craved another one even though it was THE most disgusting thing I've drank in my life...i drank 2, then 3 then 6 more and that's when I knew I made a mistake..
"Sorry, I need to use the bathroom" I say holding my hand on my mouth.
"Looks like it's your first time drinkin" says Kayla laughing
as I run to the bathroom.
When I enter the bathroom someone is washing there hands but I don't look and puke all that nasty alcohol out In the toilet.
But then I hear a deep yet soft voice saying
"You alright Liv?"
I wipe my mouth and ask
"Huh? Oh yeah I'm f-"
I realise it's Alex
"Alex?- blah" I puke
"All right all right" he says holding my hair up in ponytail
I'm never drinking again...
After I'm done, I sit there in silence
"You alright?" He asks but I don't answer...."Soooo... It's been two years, how have you been?" he says.
I pause and look at him
I honestly have no idea what to say... I mean what would you say if u met again with ur ex childhood best friends who ditched u for his lying girlfriend?
"Screw you Alex"
"Liv please" he says
"Dont...dont you dare call me liv...you have no right to call me that anymore- in fact u have NO right to even talk to me because you are a fraud and I honestly wish I never met you, I forgot about this whole thing but I can't understand how my best friend would leave me for his girlfriend he only knew for 2 damn years!.no I'm not gonna let you ruin my day so if you'll excuse me...I'm going to go back to drinking my alcohol" I say confidently
