The next day, Ishita and Ruhan ran into Abhimanyu and Aditya in the corridor. Aditya said, "Okay, so Ishita and Abhimanyu haven't been properly introduced yet."
He then turned to Ishita and said, "Meet Abhimanyu Singh Raghuvanshi, my best friend" then he turned to abhimanyu and said "Meet Ishita Rai, Ruhan's best friend. Ishita and Abhimanyu shook hands, and Ruhan suggested going to the canteen. Ishita agreed, and soon the four of them were seated at a table with their food.
Suddenly, Aditya asked Ishita, "Do you have a brother?" Ishita responded with a hum as she was eating her burger. Aditya persisted, asking, "Can you tell me his name?" Ishita replied, "Aadarsh Rai, but why do you ask?" Aditya explained, "Nothing much, just that my sister works as his PA, and I found out he's your brother from Ruhan." Ishita responded, "Oh, that's okay."
Then, Abhimanyu turned to Ishita and said, "He is the CEO of Rai Productions, am I right?" Ishita confirmed, "Yes, my elder brother is the CEO." Abhimanyu nodded, and just then, the bell rang.
As the bell rang, signaling the end of the break, and students began to shuffle back to their respective classrooms, a voice crackled through the speakers in the canteen.
"Hello, hello! I am requesting all the 3rd and last-year students to come to the auditorium" the voice announced, its tone echoing through the bustling space.
Curiosity sparked among the students as they paused in their conversations, turning their attention towards the source of the announcement. Some exchanged puzzled glances, wondering what could be happening in the auditorium.
Ishita glanced at Ruhan, her eyebrows raised in silent question. Ruhan shrugged in response, mirroring her confusion. All of them quickly gathered their belongings and joined the stream of students making their way towards the auditorium.
As they entered the spacious hall, Ishita and Ruhan found themselves surrounded by fellow classmates and Aditya and Abhimanyu sat with their classmates, their murmured conversations filling the air with anticipation.
The auditorium lights dimmed, and a hush fell over the room as the principal stepped onto the stage, a microphone in hand.
"Good afternoon, students," the principal began, his voice carrying authority and warmth. "Thank you for joining us on such short notice."
He paused, allowing the students to settle into their seats before continuing.
"I am pleased to announce that our college will be hosting a series of group surveys and team projects over the coming weeks, aimed at providing valuable insights and guidance to our 3rd and last-year students as they prepare for their future endeavors."
Excitement rippled through the room as students exchanged curious glances, wondering what the survey would entail.
"The survey is based on the normal life of a person and their daily cycle." The principal continued, his words sparking interest among the students. "I will assign your partners, and you will be required to survey the assigned person."
Whispers broke out among the students as they speculated about who their partners might be and what the survey would involve.
Ruhan, seated beside Ishita, leaned in and whispered, "I wish to be in a team with Aditya only."
Ishita stifled a laugh and replied, "Now that's dependent on the Principal" She couldn't help but tease Ruhan, knowing he wants to spend time with Aditya.
Ruhan pouted sadly, his anticipation evident in his eyes. "Hmm," he muttered, unable to hide his sadness.
The principal then called upon a teacher to facilitate the pairing of partners. As the teacher began pairing up students, the room fell silent, the anticipation palpable.
So, Manvi with Arjun, Ruhan with Aditya and Ishita with Abhimanyu......... are partners" The teacher announced, her voice clear and decisive.
A grin spread across Ruhan's face as he heard his name paired with Aditya's. Unable to contain his excitement, he looked at Ishita and began to do a little victory dance right there in the middle of the auditorium.
"Dekh, Bhagwan bhi mere saath hai!" Ruhan exclaimed, his joy contagious as he celebrated his stroke of luck.
As Ishita chuckled at Ruhan's antics, her mind wandered to the unexpected partner with Abhimanyu. Amidst the joyous atmosphere, a flicker of uncertainty tinged her thoughts. She pondered the idea of being paired with someone she barely knew, aside from the fact that he was her best friend's boyfriend's best friend.
"Ha ha, dekha maine toh" she replied to Ruhan, her laughter masking the subtle apprehension that crept into her mind. Her eyes sparkled with amusement as she watched her friend revel in his good fortune, but beneath the surface, Ishita couldn't shake the curiosity about what lay ahead with her newfound partner, Abhimanyu.
Meanwhile, Abhimanyu, who had been quietly observing the scene unfold, couldn't help but smile at Ishita's laughter. He admired her ability to find joy in the little moments, her laughter like music to his ears.
As the classroom buzzed with excitement, the students eagerly awaited their assigned partners, eager to embark on this new adventure together. Little did they know, this group survey would not only bring them closer but also pave the way for unexpected love and new beginnings.
