Miyuki was walking towards her high school.

It was still dark and the street lamps lit up the sidewalks.

Her head was down and she wondered how the day was going to go.

Perhaps Yokai would ask me forgiveness ?

Maybe she was angry at herself for saying all that to me ?

She replaced her scarf and pursed her lips.

Come back to reality,

Yokai won't change.

Get it through your head.

She lifted her head and stopped.

Her mouth opened and her eyes widened.

A rainbow.

It was over the lake and shone across the sky.

Suddenly, everything around it was colored. Everything was pretty.

Miyuki opened her mouth and tried to say, 'pretty' but still no sound came out.

She walked towards the lake to her favorite tree, then looked up at the rainbow full of colors in the sky.

Her eyes couldn't look at anything else, it was so beautiful.

But after a while, the rainbow disappeared, and Miyuki saw the gray, colorless sky again.

Still, she stood there. Hoping another rainbow would appear.

She sat down, took out her slate and began to draw.

Miyuki's chair was empty this morning.

It had been twenty minutes since class had begun and Riki's eyes were fixed on Miyuki's empty chair.

He turned to Sunoo and pointed to the chair, but Sunoo raised his shoulders and Riki realized he didn't know any better.

He turned to Yokai and made the same gesture, but she didn't know why she wasn't there this morning either.
