Takemitchi doesn't know if you and Hina have met yet in this time. Since Naoto mentioned you being her close friend, he would make it his mission to bring you and Hina together as friends.
To him, it seemed like a brilliant idea, unaware that you were already friends with her.
As the bell rang, signaling the start of the break, you stood up abruptly and left the room. Takemitchi was about to call out to you, but his attention was drawn to the sight of you talking to Hina at the doorway. His eyes widened in surprise, and he couldn't help but run towards the two of you.
Pointing a finger at you accusingly, Takemitchi exclaimed, "You're... you're friends with Hina?!" His voice carried a mix of shock and disbelief, making you look at him with confusion.
"Yeah, what's the problem with that funny hair?" you retorted, crossing your arms in response. "Oh, Takemitchi, I'm glad you've already met Agatsuma-san," Tachibana interjected.
"[Name] is fine," you corrected her with a smile. Takemitchi's bewilderment only grew as he stuttered, "Wait, how long have the two of you been friends?" He had honestly thought the two of you hadn't met yet.
"Since the day we moved here," you informed him, your tone casual yet sincere, clearing up any misconceptions about your friendship with Hina.
"And when was that?" Takemitchi asked, his disbelief evident.
You sighed, responding, "Last year. Can't believe you didn't know"
"What?!" he suddenly exclaimed, shocking you with his sudden outburst. "Takemitchi, is there something wrong?" Hina asked, concerned.
"N-no, everything's fine. It's just... I never knew you two are friends," Takemitchi stammered, wincing when your hand made contact with his head.
"We've been friends since we were little and you're not aware of what's happening to us?" you retorted after hitting him. "And do you seriously have a problem with me being friends with her?" Hina couldn't help but let out a small giggle at the sight before her.
"No, I don't!" Takemitchi insisted, then he turned to Hina. "Hina, why didn't you tell me that you're friends with her? And you too!" He turned to you as well, looking as if he were betrayed.
Hina was slightly shocked by the sudden attention and frowned.
"I did tell you about her, but you didn't seem interested," she said sadly. Takemitchi was taken aback by this and was about to say something when you interrupted him.
"So, you're really Hina's boyfriend, huh?" you started, "I thought you were just an obsessed fan boy because of how many times you've mentioned her name," you remarked casually.
"What?" Takemitchi asked, puzzled by your comment.
"Nothing," you answered, brushing off what you had just said.
"Oh! I have a question I want to ask," Hina said. "Why did you transfer schools when it's our last semester?" She asked, making you stay quiet for a bit.
"This school has one of the best photography clubs and it's near my house," you lied skillfully, making Hina believe you, but not Takemitchi.
If Takemitchi remembered it right, you transferred to Mizo Middle because you were expelled from your previous school for an unknown reason.
Noticing Takemitchi's skeptical expression, you decided to leave to avoid his question.
"Anyway, see you later, Hina. I have to go and eat now," you said, waving goodbye to her. "Enjoy your moment with your boyfriend," you added before walking away.
The two watched your retreating figure, a mixture of emotions passing between them. Takemitchi felt a bit skeptical about your answer just now and a twinge of guilt for not paying attention to Hina's mention of you before. He couldn't shake off the feeling that he had missed out on something important.
Hina, on the other hand, felt a sense of disappointment at Takemitchi's lack of awareness. She had tried to share about her friendship with you, hoping for his interest or at least acknowledgment.
