Jade sat at the window, with her guitar, humming a tune as she strummed, she had been writing a new song for Dean over the past few weeks and she'd finally decided, it was ready

She got up with the guitar and walked to where he was on the back porch, looking at the moon, the light reflected on his skin, making him shine. He looked content, with his blue eyes closed. She didn't want to interrupt but she had to.

She slowly walked out to him, almost like he sensed her, he turned and smiled

"Remember in our vow, when I told you, one day, I'll say what I want so bad to say?" Jade asked with a smile

He nodded, glancing at the guitar then her

"Here it is," she said, beginning to strum

"I set out on a narrow way many years ago
Hoping I would find true love along the broken road
But I got lost a time or two
Wiped my brow and kept pushing through
I couldn't see how every sign pointed straight to you

[Chorus:]
Every long lost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like Northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you
(Yes He did)

I think about the years I spent just passing through
I'd like to have the time I lost and give it back to you
But you just smile and take my hand
You've been there you understand
It's all part of a grander plan that is coming true.

[Chorus]

Yeah.

Now I'm just rolling home
Into my lover's arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you.

That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you." She sang

She finished, and rested her flat palm against his chest

"Straight to you Dean," she whispered

"That was beautiful cupcake," he said, yanking her into his lap and smiling as she faced him

"Babe," she whispered looking at his permanent smile

"I love you," she finished, resting her palm on his cheek

"I only love you more each passing day," he sang back

She laughed, grinning as he leaned in to kiss her

"I'm sorry, I reacted like an idiot when-" she didn't get to finish

"Stop, babe, I haven't ever been the most trustworthy guy in the world, but I'd never intentionally hurt you, you're too pure for that," he said resting his hand on her heart, smiling as it quickened
"Thank you Dean," she whispered with a watery smile, and watery eyes as he leaned forward to kiss her again
