I rode in the same carriage with the prince. Father was already in the capital since he got work, mother and Kyle was riding on the other carriage so basically only I and William in this carriage with Jane as my companion.
We did not talk or have any conversation. The whole journey was so silent that I felt my throat was going to dry.
Someone gives me water bag and coldly drink, "here. You might be thirsty"
I look at the water bag then to him before I shook my head, rejecting his offer.
He threw the bag on me and coldly said, "Drink. I don't want a fiancé dying because of dehydration"
I snorted before I accepted the water bag. After I take a sip, and I said in sarcastic tone, "you really is a gentleman, throwing the water bag to a lady is so sweet of you"

I gritted my teeth and wanted to retort when the carriage stop followed by sounds of swords clashing.
William slightly lifts the curtain up and asked the captain of the guard, "what happened?"
The captain bows before he politely answered, "Reporting to his highness, the groups of mountain bandits attacks us. But do not worry, everything is under control"
William nodded then he leaned back and crossed his arms.
"You're not a bit worried?" I curiously asked since he looks unworried despite that we were under attack.
"I believe them" then closed his eyes.
I clicked my tongue and said in disdain, "Really arrogant"
I pick up my short sword in case something happened.
William saw me holding a sword, "you know how to use that?"
