LXVII. My First Day of Class (1)

"Is there something you need miss?" Charles Mason, our instructor, ask when he noticed me standing.

I panic and shook my head then I sit on my chair and burried my face on my arms, trying to hide my embarrassment from the crowd.

Just like on every start of the school year, Mason-sensei[1] introduced himself and brief us about the school and stuff and everything we should know starting now. He let us,his students, to ask him bunch of questions regarding our curiosity in this academy and I learned so much from this.

Here's are the questions that was asked hy mu classmates as well as the corresponding answers that is important to take note:

What is YMA?

YMA is a magical school which is the only school that allows to teach about advanced magic and stuff especially on how to control and understand mana.

When YMA built?

YMA is built way way way back after the birth of Tree of Life.

From the previous chapter... if you guys remember my cute friend Ace. She explained how the Tree of Life grows. It started after Princess Sapphire died and her power or the perfect term that everyone used is "LOVE" that gives birth to Ygdrassil Tree which produce mana so once the Tree of Life dies, then mana will dies as well.... except for those creatures that are made of mana like fairies, elves and so on. Explanation about their race in the future.

Who are allowed to study at YMA?

Like what we remember, after the awakening, everyone either can study basic magic and stuff in a basic school or through tutorial or nothing at all which starts at the age around 6 to 7 years and continue for six years and after six years of their awakening, it was the time (which is actually a mandatory; whether you like it or not) that you will enter YMA for whole six years. Yes dearest, students will study magic at YMA for six years so it was rare to meet teenagers around twelve or thirteen years old eighteen or nineteen years old outside world unless it was vacation, holidays or weekends.

What if they don't want to go study at YMA?

Those students will be called or known as OSY which means 'out of school youth' and they were like a wanted criminals. And once the magic council found out any OSY, they will target them and capture them not to torture or imprisoned but to force them to stay and study at YMA and they will be under surveillance. OSY students will remain OSY even they were studying at YMA for whole year if they don't try to escape until they realize the importance of this program. To knew who are the OSY students, they have different uniforms and easily identify since Student Council or any Academy staff or even magic council representative were following them 24/7. So, if you're asking if there ever OSY in the outside world, it is very rare since they were easily been captured by the magic council.

What is the use of entrance exam if everyone are mandatory to study at YMA?

The importance of this is to know what are the strongest and weakest point of each student so that the school will know how to help the students in their stay in the academy. At the same time, the school has a grading system which indicates the privileges of each students during their stay.

What are the grading system and it's privilege?

There are five levels in the grading system: The spade, clover, heart, diamond and the Ace.
