Alissa's POV

I was leaning against the headboard while thinking about Marcus's invitation in my room.

Suddenly, someone knocked on the door, interrupting my thoughts.

"Come in." I said as I sat up on the bed.

The door opened and Chad walked in.

"Hi, angel. How are you?" He asked, giving me a warm smile as he walked in and closed the door behind him.

"Hi. Fine. You?" I asked, giving him a lazy smile.

"I am fine. Thanks." He replied and sat down beside me on the bed.

"How are the children and Elise? I missed them." I said.

"They are fine. Ethan keeps us on our toes as always." He informed, giving me a bright smile. I smiled.

I started playing with the hem of my dress, lost in my thoughts.

"Still thinking of your Prince Charming?" He teased me, emphasizing the words Prince Charming.

"Chad!" I warned him. He shrugged his shoulders with a reckless expression on his face. I sighed, ruffling my hair and confessed. "He...asked me to go with him to Stockholm."

His eyes widened in surprise. "Oh..." He mumbled. "And you? What did you tell him?" He asked.

"Nothing." I shrugged my shoulders. "He told me I didn't say anything right away and think about it." I informed. "He is going to Stockholm tomorrow." I added.

"Hmm...Did you think about it then? Do you want to go with him?" He asked.

"I don't know." I mumbled.

I didn't really know what to do. I was confused. I still loved him so much. But I couldn't forgive him for lying to me. I felt offended. He had a lot of chances to confess it. But he chose to keep lying to me.

Chad sighed and placed his hand on top of mine.

"Alissa, if you love him, give him a chance." He said, giving me a compassionate look. "You know what had happened between Elise and me." He added.

I looked at him, thinking. My brother had to have kept his identity from Elise at the beginning. When Elise found out about it, she broke up with him. Fortunately, later they made up. Now they were happily married and had two wonderful children.

I was thinking about what Chad had told me while he was tapping something on his phone.

"Oh...he is worse than me." He commented, smirking mischievously and showed me Marcus's photos with some girl.

I rolled my eyes and gave him a dirty look.

I had already memorized his every photo with different girls in the magazines. I was frustrated while reading the news about him. There was even his naked photo with a girl who wore a bikini. At least, one of them wore something. I rolled my eyes as I remembered that photo. The bastard! He was an incorrigible womanizer and a real troublemaker. The paparazzi even called him a naughty and daredevil prince.

"After seeing his son-in-law's adventures, my father will definitely be proud of me." He commented mockingly. "He will thank God that he has a son like me. At least, I didn't have naked photos in magazines." Chad mocked, still looking at the news.

"Chad!" I scowled.

"Alissa, really if Dad sees his bathtub scandal, he will have a heart attack." He burst out laughing. "He is his dream son-in-law." He mocked.

"Chad, please." I mumbled.

He breathed deeply and looked at me. "I should accept before I thought he was just playing around, but after seeing how much he loves you..." He sighed as he paused. "If you love him too, give him a chance." He said and got up. I bit my lower lip without saying anything. "Ok. I will leave you alone so that you can think about it properly. See you." He gave me a sympathetic smile. "And don't forget you can count on me, angel." He added firmly.

"I know, Chad. Thank you." I said, giving him a grateful smile. He leaned over me and placed a soft kiss on my forehead. I smiled. "Bye."

"Listen to your heart. It will give you the right answer." He added and winked at me. I nodded, forcing a slight smile.

He waved his hand at me and left. I sighed and leaned my back against the headboard.

I breathed deeply and got out of the car. The driver pulled my suitcase out the trunk and placed it beside me.

"You may leave." I informed. He nodded and got in the car.

I looked at the building in front of me. I decided to give a chance to Marcus. I loved him so much.

When I told my parents that I was going to Stockholm with Marcus, my father wasn't delighted with this news. But my mother, Chad and I managed to convince him.

I smiled and walked towards the entrance, pulling my suitcase with me. As I reached his suite, I knocked on the door. A few minutes later, Marcus opened the door.

"Bambi?" He mumbled, surprised. He traveled his gaze from me to my suitcase and vice versa.

"Is your invitation still valid?" I asked, giving him a bright smile.

His nodded as a wide smile appeared on his face. In a flash, he lifted me up by wrapping his arms around my waist and swirled me around.

"Marcus." I giggled happily, wrapping my arms around his neck.

"You made me the happiest man on the earth. I love you, bambi." He stated happily.

"I love you too, Marcus. I love you so much." I confessed and placed a soft kiss on his lips.

He set me on my feet and cupped my cheeks, giving me his dazzling smile.

"Umm...What will your parents think...about our relationship?" I asked, biting my lower lip nervously.

He pulled his hands away as he cleared his throat. "Let's say they will be so surprised." He replied.

I gave him a questioning look. Considering his reply, I had some doubts that his parents welcomed us with open arms.

"Don't worry, bambi. You are mine. And I will not give up on you." He assured me, giving me a warm smile and planted a chaste kiss on my lips, cupping my cheek. I gave him a radiant smile.

"So I find my prince on a white horse." I teased him.

"Yes." He nodded, giving me a wide grin. "By the way, I really have a white horse." He added, amused and winked at me. I chuckled and kissed his lips.
