Arc 2 Chapter 21

Alright, the previous chapter was written by me, a friend of GoddessOfBlack89. You readers must have noticed that the T writing style were off from her usual style right? Well, Goddess has handed this and tasked me to write it for her, she doesn't want to leave her readers hanging. A bad idea it was as her head and mine don't exactly... Clicked, and so it turned out strange right? Well, this arc is crappy and needed eddting when she is finally back full time however the Arc 3 is fully prepared, it should be a surprise for the readers as she planned a massive update as compensation when she fully returns.

Anyways, bear with me, I will finish this arc soon and leave the editing to Goddess. Though she helped me make this chapter, the tmnext would probably be crappy like me.

Just as what Cordilia predicted-- hell, everyone doesn't need to use their brains to figure it out!-- Long Empire's army came marching to their borders.

The soldiers were surrounding the capital, so Cordilia had the generals positioned their soldiers around and had their backs against the capital walls, ready and awaiting for orders.

It's obvious that Feng Qian intend to attack under the cover of darkness.

Too bad, Cordilia is an arsonist. She accidentally found this out when she burned off the wooden model Xue Jin Ying made, this got her sent to her room for a whole day.

A'Yuan informed, [𝙷𝚘𝚜𝚝, 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚢 𝚊𝚛𝚎 𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎] Cordilia nodded

"Get up, lazy bums. You, light up the signal" Cordilia turned to the general who nodded and raised the red flag.

The citizens held a lantern in hand and seeing the signal, each and everyone of them let their lanterns go, letting it fly into the sky, resembling a lantern festival, the music sounded and everyone cheered and quickly moved to make a ruckus and noises.

This would lead the others into thinking that they are celebrating something. Well technically they are, their Empress, their very arrogant Empress is pregnant.

The citizens are yelling "Congratulations Your Majesty the Emperor! Congratulations Your Highness the Empress" over and over again.

Cordilia smirked.

"Get ready now" Cordilia turned to Xue Jin Yang who held two red lanterns tied together with a green ribbon.

"I'll release it, just give me the signal" He said

The lanterns that were released earlier is a signal to the soldiers that was going to corner the Long Army from the other side, hiding in the tunnels and as the soldiers of Long Army passed and distance away, they would pour liquid gas to connect a circle around the capital as the Long army planned to completely overwhelmed them from all sides.

Cordilia shall not let them.

And so, A'Yuan made a count down.

[𝙶𝚎𝚝 𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚍𝚢 𝚗𝚘𝚠...... 5......... 4......... 3........ 2........ 1] A'Yuan opened the alarms in the system and Cordilia brought her hand down, Xue Jin Ying let the lantern go.

The Soldiers in their side and the Generals waited tense and on guard, ready for battle.

Feng Qian had lead the army to crush Cordilia's territory. Long Ji Wang was the Emperor so he stayed behind. Its not proper for him to head to battle after being crowned, albeit forced, not to long ago.

She felt something strange and can't point it out but it soon pushed back in the back of her mind when she saw the provoking signs.

Her brother had warned her that Cordilia is not an easy opponent but Feng Qian shrugged it off, with her space filled with weapons from Modern Era, her greatest Cheat, there is no way she could lose.

That is, until she felt dizzy.

Fuck! She has been drugged! There is a spy amongst her group!

Things got from bad to worst after that.

Just as the lantern was flying to the sky, the soliders quickly light the liquid gas and let the fire run and formed a perfect circle. This caused the soldier of Long Empire to be dumbfounded. Not giving them a chance to react, Cordilia impatiently stomped on the catapult that was on fire, letting the fire ball surged into the sky like an angry phoenix and into the sneaky formation of Long Army, throwing them into disarray and breaking formations. Serving as the signal, the others soon followed, together, they razed flames on those modern equipment the opposing army brought.

Xue Jin Ying was having fun on pressing the buttons that activated the bombs, detonating at randomly yet successful hits. As soon as the flurry of attacks are over, Cordilia signaled the General whom let out a battle cry.

"Where are you going?" Xue Jin Ying frowned as he watched Cordilia put on a black cloak

"Be good Wife and stay here. I'll be back shortly" and she disappeared.

Xue Jin Ying's face distorted on anger. Wife!? You're the one who is pregnant yet you dare call me your wife!?

In the fit of his anger, he vented it on the general next to him, punching him in the face and stomping his feet on the ground like a child throwing a tantrum.

The other witnesses decided to ignore it, they are used to it really.

Cordilia maneuvers herself in the battle field and arrived at the location of Feng Qian who was on the ground unconscious, groaning.

Cordilia smirked and looked down, she knelt and grasp the Female Lead's arm and circulate her inner energy, A'Yuan proceeds to stab through the female lead's space and destroyed it. Causing the unconscious Feng Qian to cough up blood.

[𝙷𝚘𝚜𝚝, 𝚑𝚞𝚛𝚛𝚢 𝚞𝚙 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚊𝚋𝚜𝚘𝚛𝚋 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚎𝚗𝚎𝚛𝚐𝚢, 𝚒𝚝𝚜 𝚐𝚘𝚘𝚍 𝚏𝚘𝚛 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚋𝚘𝚝𝚑 𝚘𝚏 𝚞𝚜] A'Yuan urged and Cordilia did just as that.

That space connects with the Female Lead's soul, so taking it means taking the female Lead's soul, however A'Yuan knows that if he did not process it into energy it will backfire.

And so, the absorption was successful. Feng Qian has fallen with an incomplete soul. She will be disorientated, irrational, and temperamental. Finished with her job, Cordilia left immediately to coax her wife(husband) to not kick her out of their room tonight.
