Knowing in my heart that there must be an explanation, I decide to ignore it and think with my head. I think I've spent enough of this year letting my heart control me.
"If you don't mind me asking, why would you like to change your referral number?" My supervisor asks, one manicured hand resting on her hip.
Her skeptical eyes attack my nerves, "Personal reasons."
Eyebrows raised, she nods reluctantly, "Alright, come with me and we'll sort you a new number."
With my phone that's been off all weekend in my pocket, I follow Ashley.
Time to start fresh.
