Down the valleys
Through our veins
Within the depths seen
But never explored
There's a glint
Of sparkling light
Skimming the surface
Ever so freely
On the wide river
That wanders around
Joining, splitting
Into possibilities
That'll carve and sculpt
A beautiful world
From whatever was
Left before
Though I won't forget
The jagged rocks
That line the bottom
Of the sea
May my river
Heal itself, and wash
The past off
Others' wounds.
