From running away
Chased by the unknown
To forging a path
That'll reach the skies
Adrenaline and
My determination
Propel me to the edge
Of a new world
And at the end
Not when it ends
But when I can
Watch the sunset
Without looking
Behind my back
I know I've run
Far enough
To find fulfillment
In my own small world.
