"I'm gonna miss you." Damon mumbled into my shoulder as we continued our hug. I wouldn't be surprised if the administration came over at told us to pull apart, being that I'm sitting on his lap.

"The day isn't over yet," I said with a giggle, my fingers playing with hair at the nape of his neck. "You're not going to Italy this year?"

"No, they're coming over here." He said, referring to his grandparents. "We're leaving for California tonight."

"One of these days I'm gonna have your Italian flare on Thanksgiving food. Tell your dad to save me something." I playfully begged while wrapping my arms around his neck. He smiled brightly at me, his head nodding before leaning in and kissing me.

I felt myself hesitant to lean in. I did, nonetheless, but Grayson's attempt on Saturday really messed with my head. I feel guilty and nothing happened, but it could've, and that's the part I can't shake off. I rest my hands on the side of his face and pulled him in for another kiss—one more passionate.

"What I get for that?" He asked giddily, his green eyes shimmering with an array of emotions.

I shrugged my shoulders, "you just deserved it." His hands massaged my waist, a light pressure there as he leaned in again.

"Can I get another one?" He lustfully asked before placing his lips on mine. I had to pry myself away and out of his hold before things got carried away. Gathering our things from the table, I glanced back at the library door, hoping Grayson wouldn't walk past it.

Granted, free period is over and we're on our way to lunch, but he could still come in. I haven't seen him since Saturday, and I was more than on edge as I never saw him yesterday for school. With our bags over our shoulders, we headed out the library and upstairs to the cafeteria.

"So," I dragged out, "I think Derek and Caroline broke up." Damon looked down at me with a shocked expression. I pulled in my lips while nodding, my thoughts probably the same as his.

"Damn. Why do you think that?" He asked while rubbing along his jaw.

I shrugged lightly, "he's been back for a week and he's said nothing, and I mean nothing, about her. I tried asking how she was Tuesday and he just shut me out, so either they're in some fight or-"

"Hey!" Somebody boomed loudly in the hallway, causing us all turn look over of shoulders. My throat ran dry as I watch Grayson march over to us, a nasty scowl on his face as his eyes were set on me.

"You told my dad?" He seethed, the look in his eyes almost animalistic as he tried stepping and sizing me up. Damon pulled my back behind him as he placed his hand out onto Grayson's chest.

"You need to back up." Damon said, his shoulders broad and squared as he looked at Grayson. We caught the eye of surrounding students also on their way to lunch, there movements subtly slowing down so they could look at what's going on.

"Get your ass out of my way." Grayson said back curtly, "this is between me and Cameron." My name dripped from his mouth venomously, my eyes looking up at find his narrowed at me.

"You have no reason to talk to her. I suggest you go before things get out of hand." Damon said back, his back muscles clearly tensing under his long sleeved shirt. Grayson let out a dry chuckle, his eyes lingering on me the whole time.

Something about the smirk on his face was unsettling, as if he was going to say something he knew I wouldn't want him to. "She has a mouth. She can speak for herself, right Cameron?" He asked with a raised brow.

"D-Damon," I said while tugging on his arm, "let's just go, okay?"

"You've got a lot of nerve to keep coming around her. I'm sick of your ass being everywhere, and you think you can walk up on her like that? And I'd let it go?" Damon said, completely ignoring my pleads for us to just leave.
