Drake gasps and filled his lungs with air.

"Who....is that?"
Drake wipes the tears that involuntarily moisten his eyes from  pain.

"I told you just do what he wants. He is....the Mercenary King."

Drake trembles.

"That insane Purple Star?"

The legend of the purple star.
Nobody knows who he was exactly.
Only the leader of the mercenary knows him.
He is the top dog.
He slain his enemy with speed and his eyes are chnaging from purple to red.
His strength is unimaginary and he can use sorcery on top of that.
He is insane and his kill was more than the number of child birth in the whole country.

"The King....The one we sending money to?"
Drake smiles like a fool.

"Him. My father is tge former mercenary boss before you. He passed down the title to you when he died. But the purple star didn't show his face to you yet so I understand that you don't know. Do not pissed him off.
He will not kill me as he promise my father but he will not hesitate to kill you if you anger that beast."

"Why is such a man under a royal princess beck and call?"

"I don't know but the princess called him Randy now. Before his name is different....Sa...Sander? I don' know anymore."
Axel sighs.

"Damnit! Prepare the mercenary immediately."

Randy paused as Emerald looks back at him

"Prince--"

Emerald hugs him.
"Thank you."

Randy laughs.
"I didn't do anything."

Emerald shakes her head.
"I don't know how you did it but without you....they might not accept my commission." She sniffs and looks at him.
"Am I....Being a burden to you, Randy?"

"What are you saying? Didn't you say fron now on....I will be your father?"
He croutch down and scoop her in his arms.
"I haven't heard you officially call me one."

Emerald blushes.
"Fa--"

"Hmm?"

"Father..." Emerald blushes.
Randy chuckles.
"Good. Very good."

Randy walks to the boat waiting for them.

As he walks away. His shadow become man shapes black flame and run to different directions.

Randy smiles.
"I never had my own children."

Emerald smiles.
"You are not that old. How about you get married?"

"I don't want to get married."

"Then I will take care of you until you grow old and care for you my whole life!"
Emerald smiles and lay her head to his arm.
"Because that is what a daughter do....right....father?"

Randy smiles.
"I'm sure I will be the one doing the caring.."

Emerald pouts.
"My my. This cocky guy."

Randy laughs and touches Emerald's cheek.
"How long are you going to live? How long...."

Emerald frowns.
"It's like you are counting my days in the world! Stop that!"
She grins
"I will be alive as long as you are not dead atlesst."

Randy laughs a loud.
"Really? That will be amazingly long time then."

Emerald nods.
"Cause they said a bad person lives longer." She said puffing her chest.

Randy frowns.
"....don't die tomorrow."

"Ekkkkk!!!! Just say I am a good person like normal people! Ahahhaha. Did I just say I am a good person? How embarrassing? But I am a good person right? Oh. Maybe I am not? Huh?"

Randy hugs her head.
"Don't die before I die."

Emerald punches his stomach.
"Don't say die die die so many times! I am already freaking out here!"

"You are so precious."
Randy said smiling happily.

Emerald stays in the Andromeda as she waited all night. Even though it is far, she can feel the air is mix with anxiety and trouble.

"Should I go?"
Emerald said

Randy smiles.
"What can you do there? Cheer them as they fight?"

Emerald froze as she tried not to cry.

"I.....I want to know the situation." She said.

"They will be fine." Randy says.

Emerald is not content with that.
She walks all over the ship and stares at the far away place.

"Princess, this is not helping anyone. Go to sleep." Pell said.

"But...."

Randy sighs and carry the princess to her bed.
"It's fine. I will wake you up as soon as the news arrive."
Randy stuff her insidr the blanket.

"Promise?" She asks holding his hand.

Randy didn't say anything as he  use a light spell to make her sleep.

But even with a sleep spell Emerald cling to his hand.
"Pro..mise me..."

"I will."

The princess smile as she fell asleep.

Randy walks outside and fly toward the mercenary guild.
Bam!
Half of the room explode.

"I really want to see how arrogant you can be." Randy said stepping at the current mercenary King's head.

"Urgh...Argh....You...Your highness Sir...I..I apologize...."

"If you are not useful I will kill you immediately but I will let you live for now. You prepare all your men and crushed those fucking pirates. You hear me? And you will not asks a single cent on my daughter,do you hear me?" He said stomping one more time at his head.

"Ahhh....urghhh...Yes...yes...."

Randy spits out and fly away again.

Axel who actually received that spit is trembling in the side.

Randy fell down from the sky.

The impact made everyone except the few elite knights stumbles and fell.

"Monster! What are you doing here?" The only one who react is Froilan.

Randy frowns

He raised his hand and his shadow army arise.

"Kill!"
He shouted as those not humanly monsters attack the pirates.

"S-sir Randy?" Ansley blinks in confusion.

"Don't ask, just proceed as plan." Froilan said and tell everyone to follow the plan.

Randy is about to jump to the other side but Froilan shouted at him.

"Just go back to the princess!" He screamed angrily.

"You don't tell me how I protect my daughter." Randy snorts and fly away.

The Andromeda is floating in the air as everyone are trembling in their place clenching on anythung they can hold tightly.

There are also some inhuman creatures that is made out of shadows patrolling in Princess Emerald's room door.
Nobody is allowed to get near or anyone who tried with valid or not reason will die.

Emerald sleeps soundly

"Sir Pell...What...what is Sir Randy?" The maids asks.

Pell is the most calm.
"Him? He is a sorcerer."
He said nonchalantly.
"Don't be too noisy or the Princess will awaken."

Jane sighs.
"A sorcerer.....okay." she easily accepted that.
As long as it is not a demon who will reclaim the princess life...Anything goes to her too.
