When she came back into the room, she found Javaria crying. She rushed to her and sat beside her on the bed. At this point, she just forgot her pain.

"Api, what's wrong? Why are you crying?" She asked, wiping her tears with the pads of her fingers.

Javaria looked at her with blubbering eyes. "I...I am ruined."

"What are you saying?" She almost cried out. Her father's words were still fresh in her mind and here Javaria was bawling her eyes out. What was the real deal?

Javaria swallowed and stared at her pretty face. Faraan had chosen her. But what was Ajwa's mistake in it? It was maybe written in her fate because she was not beautiful and every man liked beauty. She shouldn't turn bitter towards her baby sister.

At this moment, Ayesha entered their room.

"At least you tell me what happened?" Ajwa huffed, getting tired of it.

Ayesha bit her lower lip. "Faraan wants to marry you, not Javaria. And your father agreed to it."

She stood up from the bed with a jerk. Her eyes widened in shock. For some time, she thought she misheard. It was so absurd. But quickly, the denial phase passed and then her face became red with anger. How dare he do it? But still, she couldn't imagine it.

"It isn't true. He had gotten some misunderstanding. How come Faraan Bhai chose me over Javaria? She is his fiance and their proposal was concluded," she explained, trying to make sense out of all this.

"It's true, Ajwa. I can't believe it. I shouldn't have let you come in front of them," she whispered and sat near Javaria. Pulling her into her chest, she consoled her.

Ajwa gritted her teeth. "This can't happen. Are we a product that came to trade?"

At that time, her disgust for men increased more. For her Faraan Bhai, she thought he might be different but he was also the same.

"All men are the same. So selfish and arrogant," she whispered to herself.

She walked over and crouched near Javaria's legs. "I am sorry, Api. I didn't know it."

Javaria shook her head and made her sit beside her. She cupped her face. "No, Ajwa, you don't have to say sorry. It's not your fault."

Ajwa quickly hugged her. Her sister was so precious.

"Mama, say no to such insensitive people. We aren't toys with whom they can play as they want," she announced, courageously.

Ayesha regarded her blankly. "Your father has said yes to them for you. It is you who is going to marry Faraan next month."

Her jaw dropped. "I am not going to. I myself talk to Baba. He can't do that. Just say no to them altogether. That cunning guy doesn't deserve my sister."

She was about to go when Ayesha held her arm. "Are you insane? Do you think your father will understand? He already said yes to Burak Bhai."

"I won't marry that jerk. And your husband can't force me. I am not a new car which that bastard liked and he wants to possess it," she snarled.

"What did you say?" It was Khalid who questioned her, causing Javaria and Ayesha's breath to get stuck in their throats but Ajwa looked at him without any apprehension.

"I said what you heard. I won't marry him. You should say no to them. He doesn't deserve Javaria Api," she asserted.

"You should just talk according to your age. Don't teach your father what he should and shouldn't do," Khalid sneered.
