Ajwa slowly opened her eyes and looked around. Her lids were feeling so heavy right now as though some weight had been dropped on them. Her every muscle was aching terribly. After a while, she sensed a soft touch on her cheek. Her gaze followed it and she found her sister sitting beside her on the bed.

"Ajwa, are you okay?" Javaria asked as a worried expression was occupying her face.

Ajwa nodded and groaned as she tried to sit up.

"Be careful. You should rest now. The doctor already said that you are very weak. And if you won't take care of yourself properly then it can affect your child God forbid," Javaria said, helping her to sit back.

Ajwa's eyes flashed at the mention of the life growing inside her. "I am fine."

"You aren't, Ajwa. If you take too much stress, then it will not be good for you and your baby," Javaria tried to make her understand.

Her eyes suddenly teared up. "Then what should I do? Faris is in so much trouble right now. What will I do without him?"

Javaria pulled her into a hug. Ajwa placed her head on her shoulder as she cried till she wanted.

"Don't say like this. He will come back. You have trust in him. Right? Then nothing will happen."

She pulled away from her and sniffed her nose before jerking her head. Even before anything started between her and Faris, trust was there. There was no love, but it was present. "I trust him. I know he can never do something like this. He is a very nice person. He is very sincere with me and he loves me as well. Someone is trying to frame him. I don't know wh---"

Suddenly her mind clicked. Her memory reverted back to that CCTV footage. Now she speculated, he resembled and doesn't look like Faris at the same time. He had a strange vibe. Whatever happened in the past few months was very alarming and a bit indicative.

"What are you thinking?" Javaria implored who brought her out of her thoughts.

Ajwa gazed at her sister. "What if it's Faraan?"

Javaria's jaw dropped. "Faraan?"

Ajwa licked her lips. "It could never be Faris. He is not like this. But the footage did show a person who looked like him. And there is only one person who looks like Faris."

Javaria first kept on looking at her in disbelief then lifted her shoulders. "That's right. But do you think Faraan will go to this extent to defame his brother in his own doings?"

Ajwa gritted her teeth in anger. "He can do anything. He has made this a hurt to his ego that Faris had married me. Besides, it must be very easy for him to sneak away from his heinous crimes because he has a twin who looks exactly like him. And I am sure it's him who is involved in all of this."

"Then what will happen now?" Javaria asked.

Ajwa shrugged. "I don't know. The proofs are very strong and vivid against Faris. His face and name, everything is inclining the charge towards him. The police won't sit back unless we prove that it isn't Faris which is very difficult. Because if Faraan had done it, then he had very smartly planned all this. He didn't leave a single leave unturned."

Javaria sneered. "He is such a rascal."

Ajwa sighed looking at their wedding picture hanging on the wall. "First I have to meet Faris. The police are deliberately delaying everything because the victim's family isn't settling for anything less. I don't know how he will be. He must be dealing with so much stress."

Javaria stroked her arm. "Everything will be fine, Ajwa."

"In Sha Allah," she murmured.

Right at that moment, the call of prayer of Maghrib sounded. They both covered their heads while Ajwa went out of bed.
