* Yume's POV *
I was spending the day with Ino at the flower shop, like any other normal day until Sakura walked in. Ino gave me a wink, telling me to watch what she's about to do so I sat quietly and watched.
"Oh? It's quite rare for you to come buy flowers at our place" Ino stated with a smirk on her face
"Not really...who cares? It's rare for you to be in charge of the store as well" Sakura said then crouched and looked at some flowers.
"When you bring flowers that still have a flowers that still have a root, people complain about it still growing. That's why cut flowers are commonly chosen" Ino said crouching down beside Sakura.
"I don't know what're you're talking about" Sakura played dumb
"Sakura, even I know that you're bringing flowers for my brother" I said sweat dropping
"Mom, I'm going out for a while!" Ino told her mother before Sakura argued
"I-ino" Sakura said
"I'm not going to let you hog him. I'll go, too... To. Visit. Him" Ino said
"I'm going, too... Just to stop you two from hogging him" I stated with crossed arms and then they both sighed
Ino picked up a red rose "I'll take this flower. A single rose of love" Ino said
"That's unoriginal. Then I'll choose this daffodil. An admirable flower that waits for spring as it stands valiantly against the cold winter" Sakura said, hugging the flower
"It seems that you know more about flowers, now" Ino said with angry eyes
"I said that I wouldn't lose to you!" Sakura fought back
"Okay, okay, so one daffodil?" Ino asked
"Oh...I'll take two" Sakura said then picked another
"Why?" Ino asked again
"One for Sasuke-kun and the other for Lee-san" Sakura said
Suddenly, Ino seemed to remember something about Lee.
"That reminded me of something, Sakura...Have you heard about Lee-san?" Ino asked
"Heard? About what?" Sakura asked
"His injuries were bad...seriously bad...From what I've heard, his days as a shinobi are over" I continued after Ino.
We don't talk about how Sakura looked like because her expression is something I can't explain
We ended the discussion there and walked to the hospital. "Seconds! Ten servings of galbi, please!" Chouji's voice shouted from the barbeque place. We went to check out what was going on in there
"What's up with you guys? Having barbeque for lunch?" Ino asked
"Ino, Sakura, Yume" Shikamaru said
"Yep, that's us alright" I deadpanned
"Shikamaru, shouldn't you be training?" Ino asked
"I do. Every day...Since Asuma here bitches at me every day" Shikamaru responded. Asuma-sensei laughed at Shikamaru's response
"Well, I'm having Chouji help out with his training" Asuma-sensei explained
"Explains it" I laughed
"I shouldn't have won the exam" Shikamaru sighed
"Don't be like that. There are a lot of people who want to enter the exams, but can't. From what I've heard, the guys under Guy and Kurenai are doing some hard training" Asuma-sensei said
"W-what?" Shikamaru asked
"Even if you won, it won't look good if you lose in a blink of an eye" Asuma-sensei said
"This is such a drag" Shikamaru complained
-Time Skip-
"Uchiha Sasuke-san, right? You have five minutes. I cannot permit more than that. He still needs to stay in bed" The nurse said leading us to Sasuke's room
"Yes" we all said in unison
"Sasuke-kun? You have guests...Three cute girls" The nurse said opening Nii-san's room, but to our surprise, he wasn't there. Same with his clothes.
If I had to guess, he probably went to Kakashi who is on top of a cliff to train with him. Just kidding, he's probably just home eating tomatoes
We waited outside on the bench waiting for the nurse to take us to Lee.
"You're Sasuke's sister, right? If you see Sasuke-kun anywhere, please notify us" The nurse said
"Sure" I said then got up, "I'm going home guys, but do say hi to Lee for me"
"Oh..Okay then. Be careful on your way back, Yume" Ino said then I left
-Time Skip-
Once I opened the door of my house, I dropped the bags of groccery that I have brought along the way, kicked my shoes off, and then I went upstair to rest.
The moment I opened the door to my room, I was surprised to see Sasuke standing right in front of me, obviously about to exit.
Actually, I lied.
I wasn't surprised at all that this idiot was here.
"Why aren't you at the hospital, duckass?" I asked raising an eyebrow at him then he sighed
"I'm going to train with Kakashi for the next month. I won't be home for a while" Sasuke said. Shoot, I called it.
"I was here to leave a note for you, but you are right in front of me, so I guess I wouldn't need the note-" Sasuke laughed awkwardly and took a few steps back, grabbed the note that he left on top of my bed, and crumbled it.
"Give me that." I glared at him, extending my hand and waiting for him to give me that piece of paper.
"No, I think I should go as well" He said and tried to slide through the door, but I snatched his bag away, "Give me the note and I'll give you your bag"
"You're actually annoying.."
"I'm your little sister, that's how it's supposed to be"
"What have I done to deserve this..?"
"Is it that embarrasing?"
"Yes.."
"On a scale of one to ten?"
"Eleven"
"Oh damn- Okay, how about this, you give me that paper and I'll give you three seconds to run before I open it up"
"Hn" was all he said before he handed me the note
I got off and threw a dictionary at him, but he just walked out of the room quickly before it hit him
"That's a yes! You have two seconds left!"
I heard the front door of our house open then close again. I walked over to the window of my room and saw Sasuke wave at me before he jumped away.
"Now, what's this all about?" I sighed and sat down on my bed before opening the note and reading it
I'll be with Kakashi for the next few weeks, so I probably won't come home, that also means you don't have to make an extra portion of food for me. Just because you're in the village, doesn't mean you shouldn't be careful, we're still Uchihas, people still hate us. I'll be careful on my end, I love you.
I put down the letter next to me and giggled a little, "He considers something like this embarrassing? What an Idiot.."
