So. I did it. I finished AToD. Wow.

It took me a little under nine months to write about 170k words. Yes, I'm pretty sure I am insane. It wasn't even my full focus until maybe May or June--

But here I am, at the end. And if you're here too... well, let's get onto thanking you--

Thank Yous

Firstly, and most importantly, thank you. It doesn't matter who you are or how you found this book; I'm eternally grateful that you stuck it out and actually read this mess of something I wrote. Really, it means the world to me. I love all of you <3

Yes, that includes you silent readers I occasionally catch voting. Don't think I don't notice you. You're the best, you guys, and every incline that you exist makes me so so happy :D

I am going to give a special shout-out to ToWolfKin, whether you like it or not, since you've been more and more vocal. I've no clue where I picked you up from, but you're awesome. I've really enjoyed seeing your reactions, particularly in these later chapters. I promise I do mean to return the favour when I get round to it.

Plus -- and this applies to anyone reading now -- if you'd like to join my reader's discord, then do feel free! It's a discord server called Writers' Kingdoms that I share with many other amazing writers. If you'd like to see me ramble about my characters, throw out facts and occasionally the odd special extra, then do join me!

I'm going to keep this short and to the point, because if I start listing all the people I appreciate then I'll be here all night. You guys know who you are. I'll yeet my love at you another time. But there is one person I can't not thank for support with AToD.

Yes, it's you, dreams_of_silver. Who else? Drem, I cannot express how much I love you. Right from the start, you've been AToD's biggest cheerleader by a long shot, to the point where you're now actually writing a full-on crossover fanfic of our stories. You're just incredible. What did I ever do to deserve a friend like you?? I love how enthusiastic you get and how easy it is to talk with you -- about anything at all, though let's face it, most of our conversations lead back to one of our books or the other. I genuinely don't think I would have had the courage and motivation to push AToD this far without your support, and I don't think I can word my gratitude for that. I just *squeeze hugs*

Now we get to be completed buddies :D

What Next?

I've had so so much fun, maybe the most fun I've ever had writing a book. I'm still coming to terms with the fact that it's over. It's been such a ride, and especially these last few months it's been such an obsession that I kinda feel sad that it's over.

Having said that, it should be apparent that Nathan's journey is far from over. We've still got a lot of loose ends to tie up and mysteries to solve. So, I should announce officially that there will eventually be a sequel!

Its working title is A Deadly Bite, and from my scribbled notes, I'm already looking forward to writing it. Of course, I won't be rushing to write it nearly as much as AToD, and it'll probably be a good while until I properly get round to it, but it's definitely on its way.

Also, I finished AToD just in the nick of time to enter the Wattys! My task for the next day is to sort out entering, but the hard part is done now. Meeting the deadline was an achievement in itself; I don't expect to win anything. But good luck to everyone else competing :D

Other Fun Stuffs

I've seen a few other writers do this, and so I thought I might as well try it, since I'm intrigued. Since we're at the end of AToD, why don't I ask you a few questions, just for fun and maybe for me to scribble down notes for a second draft? Don't feel like you have to answer all of them, but it would be cool for me to see :D

> Who is your favourite character?

> Who is your least favourite character?

> What was your favourite scene?

> What caused you the most pain? :D

Alright, that's that. It's over. I'm off to mark this thing as completed and return to my crisis. So long, Cormé fools--
