Hey everyone, sorry for the late update. This was the difficult chapter to write. Hope I did justice to the emotions and to Viktor's character. Enjoy your read. Comment if you could relate to the emotions.

"Hey?" I felt someone caressing my cheeks. It felt wonderful.

"Hiiiii" I replied without opening my eyes.

"Good morning." I heard a husky voice.

"Mmmm goodmornin"

"Time to wake up, sunshine." That voice called me Sunshine! But I want to sleep some more.

"M still sleepyyyy" I replied.

"Umm... should I go alone then?" I don't want this voice to go away.

"Where?" I asked.

"On our date"

"DATE???" What the hell, I sat up on my bed with a snap  I have a date to go to, why am I still sleeping! What a weird dream. I turned to go to the washroom and gasped.

"How.. I mean....what time is it....when did you get here? Oh! God." Mr. Anderson was standing  near my bed with both his hands in pockets.

"Sorry, but Stacy let me in and asked to wake you up myself." STAACYYY UGH!

"I am so sorry... My stupid alarm didn't go off, I suppose..." I tried to explain.

"It's OK. Get dressed, I will wait outside." His eyes went to my clothes, and he rushed outside.

What the Fcuk!  I was just in my undergarments. Why didn't I get up early, and why didn't Stacy woke me up? I will kill her. I dashed towards the washroom for a quick shower and quickly dressed up in some comfortable t shirt and blue jeans, leaving my hair to air dry. So much for 'Dress to kill'.

When I went outside, Stacy and Mr. Anderson were having coffee and laughing on something. Maybe that joke was on me. I huffed and glared at Stacy, who in return shrugged innocently. You just wait, we will sort this later.

"Can we leave?" He asked, looking at me.

"Ya...." What about my breakfast and coffee?

"Come, we will eat something on the way." He took my hand and we went out.

"Thank you, Stacy, for the coffee. Hope to see you soon."

"Sure, have fun." She smiled cutely.

On the way, Viktor took the takeaway from a burger store. It took us around one and half hour to reach there. I was not aware where we were going, and he didn't bother to inform me. Our conversation during the drive was light and casual, though he never made any attempt to holding my hand. I wonder why.

When we reached our destination, I was surprised to be standing in front of a huge house that was still under some renovation. The surrounding area was full of trees. It seemed we were in some secluded place away from the city.

"Where are we?" I asked with curiosity.

"We are at home." He said with happiness, going inside. I followed him. There was a girl monitoring the work. One glance at her, and it confirmed what is called 'Dress to kill' she was wearing a blue short…no very short skirt and blazer of same color with white crop top inside.

"Hey Rachel"  He greeted her, and she turned to our direction. Woah, not bad. She was decked up to impress.

"Viktor, Hi. How are you? It's been so long." She came and hugged him, batting her fake lashes. Ok, girl. Your message is loud and clear, but Mr. Anderson was not interested, to my relief.

"I didn't expect you here, is anything still pending?" He moved towards me, making a safe distance between Rachel and him.

"No we are almost done, just some minor fixing." She was still trying to impress.

Ok. oh, meet Jia, Jia Davis, my assistant. Jia this is Rachel Francis, she is the architect of this house." He stretched his hands towards the house.

"Hi, nice to meet you" I waved at her.

"Hey" she said disheartened.

"Let me give you a tour of this place, shall we?" Mr. Anderson gave me his sweet smile,
He turned towards Rachel. "Thank you, Rachel. I will see you around." She was not happy to be dismissed. Sorry, girl. You are trying at the wrong place.

"Is this your home? It's beautiful and huge." I was so impressed with the interiors. We entered a massive foyer that had stairs on both sides.

"No it's everyone's home, all those who don't have a home, this is their home." He explained, but I was confused.

"Come" he took my hand and lead us upstairs. The house was equipped with media room, gym, games room, music room. Classrooms and lots and lots of bedrooms. It looked like a hostel or something. He took me outside where there was a garden with benches around the pathway. There was a tennis court and basketball court. It was outstanding. Truly a dream home. We sat at one of the benches.

"When I was 7 my father killed my mom. He was a monster. He used to abuse us and my mom always protected me. She used to hide me in a cabinet to save me from his beating, enduring everything herself. When I insisted on helping her, she asked me to grow up and be a strong man, than I can help her. But she crumbled before I was capable of doing anything. I was sent off to this orphanage where I met Richard, Lia, Bruce, and Rashid, and they became my family. From that day, I had pledged to help all who needed it. That became my life mission." I placed my hand on his, which he intertwined with his.

"When I turned 16 I was asked to leave the orphanage. I didn't had a home or any form of shelter at that time. Roaming around the streets, I came upon Ben's factory and a notice for the job. Ben took me in and gave me home. He means a lot to me. After a year or so I went and joined the army. Initially, it was just running errands for them, but eventually, they started my training. I was able to buy my home and that was the proudest moment of my life. Till that accident. It took me a year to recover, and after that, I started my company."

"I build this home for those mothers who can walk out of their abusers, for those kids whose parents don't want them, for those whose parents are unable to nurture them, for those who are thought as a burden by their kids." He looked at me deep in my eyes as if searching something.

"I also sponsor the orphanage we were in and once a month bring all those kids to my house to play and enjoy. I support the trust that help financially to ex army officers who are not privileged to support themselves. I am telling you all these not to boost about myself, but to show you my real life. This is my life. All that I earn and thrive to achieve more is to support these causes and not for myself to lead a luxurious life."

"I don't do flings and affairs, Jia, for me, it's a lifetime commitment. I always wanted my partner to respect what I do and help me. I thought Jenny was the one, but she proved me wrong. One hurdle came and she ran away." He turned to face me, his eyes were holding back tears and he tightened his grip on my hands. His eyes held hope and nervousness.

"I am telling you all these to let you know where I come from. I come from an abusive father, I come from a helpless mother. I come from an orphanage and I come with a disfigured face." I listened to each and every word he said with heavy heart.

"So, are you ready for this life with me?"
