I remember that night

No balloons were put out

But there was enough alcohol for everyone

I looked at you with the same eyes you fell in love with two years ago

And we laughed all through the night

I looked at you and I feel at home

I feel safe

I feel like I've been found

I looked at you

And your eyes were reassuring

Your eyes were at peace

That evening, I kissed your eyes goodnight

And you rolled over to your side of the bed

It was bliss

I was at peace

As you text your ex goodnight
