It's the next day, & I haven't texted Trin back since last night & I feel so guilty about it. My mom still hasn't taken me off punishment & she's been home all day so I have no chance of sneaking out.

As I lay here bored trying to distract myself from admitting to Trin that I'm on punishment, I hope & pray that my mom comes busting in my door to tell me I'm off not grounded anymore. A girl can dream...
Either way I'm sneaking out. I know I was a nervous wreck last night, but now I feel like a pro at this, & my mom strict & annoying rules won't stop me from enjoying my summer.
I listen out for my mom snores t but nothing... Just her laughing at the same cat videos every 5 minutes.

Just as I was about to send Trin a text about how sorry I am for not responding, I hear my mom yell through the phone, "girl you know I'm on my way" in a excited tone, which makes me sit up so fast that I get a little light headed.
I quickly tip toe to the kitchen as If I'm about to make something to eat in attempt to snoop on her convo a little more. She glances over at me and signals me to come into her room to hand her a purse.
"I'm going out with Tammy tonight, so order yourself some pizza" she says as she hands me some cash. I say "thanks mom" in a excited tone but deep down inside I know my plan to sneak out tonight will be an success.
"The Gods must be on my side tonight" I whisper to myself while walking back to my room.

I pick out an cute outfit & stuff it under my pillow quickly in fear my mom would be watching.
I sit on my bed for a good 10 minutes, thinking of some master excuse to text Trin but nothing made sense, so I just went with the flow and texted him the slight truth...

I hear my mom heels clicking down the hallway & quickly turn on my tv and try to act casual.
"Okay... I'm outta hereeee" she says loudly, trying to sound young & cool. "Have fun" I say in a nonchalant tone.

"Awe cheer up" she says while rubbing my shoulder. I roll my eyes in silence waiting for her to leave. Before closing my room door she peeks her head back in and says "How about you plan something with your friends tonight & I'll drive u there first thing tomorrow, love u be back soon!" she says while running out the door.
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED I scream while dancing around my room, relieved that I'm finally off punishment! It might just be a good summer after all.

I pull out my outfit that I put under my pillow from earlier and try it on, as I wait for Trin to reply. I sit here looking at myself in the mirror thinking about how Trin must be mad at me for ignoring him all day but I try to look on the bright side of things and think about how much fun my girls & I are going to have tomorrow.
As I'm feeling myself in the mirror, I jump from my phone ringing and panic thinking its my mom. I grab my phone and the nerves and butterflies all start coming back, it's Trin calling me!

Me: I'm sorry, I got caught up in getting dressed.
