Indeed the restaurant wasn't far from the Huo Company. After a ten minutes drive, they arrived at the restaurant.

A beautiful hostess welcomed them.
There was a hint of shock in the hostess's eyes. The only female she had seen with President Huo during lunch was an employee who worked closely with him. This was the first time she would see someone else.

She quickly recovered but not before Yu Yuan could read the shock on her face. Of course, Yu Yuan knew why. After all, Huo Wei's avoidance of women wasn't just a rumor.

Without asking if they had a reservation, the hostess led them to a private room. It seemed Huo Wei was a well-recognized regular.

Once they settled in, Huo Wei handed her the menu. "Miss Yu, you can order whatever you want?"

Yu Yuan nodded in response and pale wrists reached out to receive the menu. Her fingertips were as thin as scallions. And on those fingertips, pink and well-rounded nails rested. All her features seemed to indicate that she was elegant and delicate but.....

Huo Wei examined Yu Yuan while thinking of the information he had received about her. Since he set his eyes on her, her mannerisms always indicated that she was a well-bred young lady raised in a wealthy home. The only time she had acted a little differently was during negotiations. Then, he could see a hint of a professional and seasoned negotiator.

Her rich young lady persona didn't seem faked either. If he could describe it, it looked like she was too lazy to deal with attention, so she hid her claws and presented a side of her that allowed the least trouble.

Yu Yuan tried to ignore the gaze directed at her, but in the end, she couldn't.

Yu Yuan lifted her head to look at Huo Wei. "President Huo, is there anything on my face?"

Yu Yuan smiled, "This flattery I'll accept."

Yu Yuan's lips curled higher. Was he trying to say that he really thought she was beautiful and he wasn't saying empty words? Coming from a man she was attracted to, Yu Yuan was very pleased. She turned back to the menu and ordered 2 extra dishes. She was suddenly in a good mood.

Once their meal arrived, both focused on eating. Neither had the habit of speaking while eating.

The food lived up to expectations; Yu Yuan found it very delicious. Inwardly, she decided to visit this restaurant more often.

After their meal, the waiters brought tea. Yu Yuan picked up her teacup to take a sip. She slightly grimaced and placed the cup back down.

"The tea isn't to your liking?"

"Pardon me, I'm used to making my own tea. This tea isn't to my taste."

Huo Wei raised his eyebrows. "Miss Yu knows the art of tea making?"

Yu Yuan smiled in response, "A hobby I picked up in my spare time."

Huo Wei slightly nodded in response while his eyes drifted to her pale hands. He would like to see her perform a tea ceremony sometime.

"President Huo, you aren't like I imagined you would be in person."

Huo Wei looked at her, "What was Miss Yu expecting?"

"I heard that President Huo didn't like people getting close, especially women. I also heard that you were very ruthless with the opposite gender. Feng Hua was an example."

"Feng Hua?" Huo Wei slightly furrowed his brows, clearly not remembering this person.

"The young miss of the Feng family."

A hint of recollection slowly formed on his face.

"President Huo doesn't remember?"

"I do now. I didn't think it was important."

Yu Yuan: "...."

She inwardly shook her head. Huo Wei was truly ruthless and cold-blooded. The Feng family had been driven to a corner by him, yet he barely had a recollection because he didn't think it was important enough to remember.

"They were noisy and irritating, but you aren't."

Those women wanted to be close to him because of his wealth and power. Sometimes they employed means to get to him, but they didn't know they were like jumping clowns in his presence. They annoyed him, and he let them know they did. But he found Yu Yuan intriguing. He wanted to know more about her.

A small smile made its way to Yu Yuan's face. President Huo's words kept tickling her heart.

"But I'm more interested in your business acumen. Will President Huo humor me?" Yu Yuan asked.

Huo Wei paused a little then nodded.

"I've always been curious about your business decisions in 2016. Then your decisions were seen as risky but now, those decisions are a major part of the reason the Huo Company is as big as it is now. How did you achieve that?"

Yu Yuan was truly curious. Huo Wei always produced results that seemed impossible in the human realm. As a former business student, Yu Yuan really wanted to know how he came to his conclusions.

Huo Wei was surprised, but he responded. In no time, their lunch turned into a mini business seminar.

At the Huo Company

Xie Chang found his way to Huo Wei's office, hoping to invite him to lunch. In all honesty, his main purpose was far from being just lunch. He had been on a business trip for a couple of days now. So he had a huge pile of work waiting for him when he resumed today. He had to quickly tackle them, so he didn't have time to listen to the latest gossip.

Turns out Huo Wei had presided over a negotiation today, and one of the negotiators from the other company was a female. Let's forget about the fact the negotiation didn't require Huo Wei's intervention, but a member of the other party was a female. A female whose name was Yu Yuan.

If he remembered correctly, the lady Huo Wei asked to be investigated had the surname"Yu." Did Huo Wei attend this negotiation because of her?

Although it was narcissistic to say every woman wanted Huo Wei, he (HW) had enough experience to make him not too fond of this other gender. Therefore, he tended to avoid them whenever he could. In his words, they were noisy and irritating. But this time, he actually took the initiative to be closer to a female.
