Ashley's Pov

It's currently Thursday morning and I'm getting ready for school.

I think im basically healed. Not fully but to a point where I can go to school.

Aaron said that we should probably go together since we are 'dating'.

I miss the feeling of going downstairs and having delicious pancakes made ready for me set at the table.

Now I don't even get breakfast.

Well I guess life works in a funny way, one day it's all sunshine and the next its like there was only ever darkness in the world.

I have learnt to cope with it though, in someway it's freeing.

Maybe it's just me being weird tho.

My phone starts ringing, drifting me away from my thoughts.

I check the name and sure enough it's Aaron.

I quickly grab my backpack and go downstairs, slowly.

I grab some money left on the counter and leave.

Finders keepers.

"Hello Lee!" Aaron greets.

"Hey, so I'm gonna meet your mother today right?" I ask getting into Aaron's car.

"Yep." He says driving off.

He opens his mouth to say something but quickly shuts it.

"What's on your mind?" I ask.

"Hmm?"

"I know you wanna say something so say it."

"Nothing.."

"No. I hate when people wanna say something but don't say it." I cross my arms.

"Look, your fight with Tyler is really affecting him."

My heart shrinks at his words.

"Why?" I ask confused.

"You are his best friend after all."

Right, friend.

"Oh well I dont wanna deal with him nor Melissa right now."

He nods and the rest of the ride to school is silent.

I can't help but wonder if Tyler really cares that much or not.

We arrive at school and get out of the car.

I'm about to walk away from Aaron before he grabs my hand grabbing all the attention from the students surrounding us.

"Ill pick you up from class lunch time." Aaron winks.

I nod and head straight to class.

It's math, great.

No one in this world will ever truly understand my hate for Maths.

Like why the hell is it the main subject?

If you don't know math you basically have very few career options.

Luckily I'm somehow good at it but doesn't help the fact that it eats up my brain.

Fuck you to whoever created math.

And a bigger fuck you to whoever created school.

***

It's currently lunch time and I'm standing in the hallway waiting for Aaron to come by.
